A butterfly in three collages | Close-ups session

Last night, a huge owl butterfly flew through the window, slowly flying to a stop on one of the illuminated walls of the bathroom. I decided to take some photos, which I will show later in another post, since in this one I wanted to experiment with the fake eyes of the wings in collage-type compositions.
The 5 selected close-ups
Collage 1: Remembering the owl of the woods.

With an almost complete photo, this collage evokes an owl, vigilant, with its enormous eyes watching everything. |

Photo Collage 2: The Queen's Comb

Majestic and elegant, I am inspired by the brooch of a beautiful lady, the buckle of a belt, or the comb of one of the extravagant hairstyles of a lady of the court. |

Collage 3: The African tribal shield

The colors, the shapes that resemble jungle animals, and the shape led me to name this collage the African shield. |

Photo N° 4 The model: Owl Butterfly

Thanks to Google Lens, I was able to recognize the possible species of this family. It is an owl butterfly, named for its eye-like spots, which seem to serve as a measure of protection and survival. |

Photo N° 5 Procedure: Here are the images worked on.

I selected three images, rotated them and cropped them to get the parts I wanted to show. Then I went to the online application pixlr.com free version, to generate the three collages. |
