Ultimate adventure into the wilderness

Have you ever been closer to wildlife in Uganda or anywhere else in Africa?
The cycling adventure and nature walks are good deals in lake Mburo national park in Uganda. This unique park is the smallest of the ten savannah parks we have in Uganda and offers exclusive cycling tours and walks inside the park.
My Ugandan friend Godfrey who owns a local travel company invited me to join his safari to photograph some of the activity shots to use on his website and socials. This was so nice to me because as many of you know that through such offers, we learn new places, diverse wildlife, cultural beliefs and make new friends.

This is how a cycling tour inside the park is conducted. You are given a ranger guide who is armed to join you on a bicycle and will guide you through the park. The ranger carries a riffle to scare shoot in the air in case of an aggressive buffalo attack. However he usually ensures you are in a safe distance with such aggressive animals with in the park most especially hippos and Buffalos. There are no big cats or elephants to be scared of here, only giraffes, Impalas, zebras, Elands, and others.

As you approach to the playful giraffes, your ranger guide will lead you on a simple walk / close-up encounter to them on foot. Here marks the beginning of capturing long lasting future memories. It feels so special walking with the tallest creatures in the wild.

After the experience on foot, you will pedal to look out for other mammals and cycle back to the gate where the tour ends from.
Cycling may seem tiresome but that's not true to some extent. You can opt to use electronic bikes if you are not a good rider or with a normal mountain bike if you are fine with it. Only that you need to book electronic bikes in advance with your tour operator to make a smooth arrangement for you.

The day ended well and proceeded to Lake Bunyonyi for the next new adventure.
