The Feathery Creatures That Inspire Us to Watch and Conserve

in WORLD OF XPILAR5 days ago (edited)

Hello Steemit family!
Nature never stops amazing me, and among its most inspiring wonders are birds; the feathery creatures that fill our forests, skies, and wetlands with color, sound, and life. Each time I step into the wild with my camera, I feel a deeper connection not just with wildlife, but with the need to protect it.

Recently, I had the incredible chance to wander through the lush rainforests of Kibale National Park here in Uganda. As always, my camera was my trusted companion and oh, what a treasure I found!

The first two photos I’m sharing today are of the Great Blue Turaco, a true gem in Uganda's birdlife. With its vibrant blue-green feathers and regal crest, it's no surprise that many wildlife photographers dream of capturing this beauty in the wild. Spotting one is already a treat, but photographing it in its natural habitat? A moment to remember.

The "Jesus Bird" – African Jacana 📸

The other images are of the amazing African Jacana, also known by many (including me 😃) as the Jesus bird. Why? Because with its unbelievably long toes and slim legs, this little marvel appears to walk on water! In reality, it's effortlessly walking on floating lilies and vegetation in lakes and rivers, something that never fails to fascinate me.

For shots like these, I always aim for a low-angle perspective as it brings the viewer right into the bird’s world and gives that immersive feel I love sharing with you all.

Every photo I take is a story, a reminder, and an invitation to appreciate, to wonder, and to conserve. Birds like these remind us of the delicate balance of our ecosystems and the importance of protecting the wild places they call home.

If you find beauty and meaning in these images, and would love one hanging on your wall, I offer high-resolution digital versions available for print.

Thank you so much for supporting my work, for following my journey, and for helping me keep going. Your encouragement not only fuels my passion for wildlife photography but also contributes to conservation and community support in Uganda 🙏.

I have set 10% of the post rewards to @wox-helpfund. I hope this helps.

Till the next shot,
