Lockdown musings 😷💭
Photos taken in my garden 🍃
The Buddha observed four sights on leaving his palace; old age, sickness, death and the spiritual life. The pandemic reminds me of his teaching about suffering and the path away from that. Unfortunately, the lockdown, work and childcare commitments mean that meditation is difficult to practice, though a 30 minute yoga and pranayama breathing practice is achievable 🧘🏻♀️
My brief daily mindfulness practice is helping me to focus on the present moment, to practice patience and to focus on the joys in life. As an introvert, being able to work from home is a blessing and my children keep me grounded 💭
