Who am I and why I am proud to be a part of #WOX community? #supportwox

My name is Eythor and i am an amateur photographer from Iceland, I used to be heavily involved in crypto in its early years and remember the birth of #Steemit, however i had long departed from the cryptosphere as life threw me around for a bit. i had two sons who unfortunately do not live with me, and was working in the Icelandic countryside in the fish industry when my wife at the time got horrendously mentally ill and then departed.

I was 33 and had lost everything, i moved back to my old hometown depressed and broke. I remember the first hobby i got after i first got up was photography, and for some weird reason i decided to check out what was happening in the crypto world. And got back involved with steemit. The first community to welcome me and my photography and appreciated it was the #WOX .

That support got me interested in doing better photography and that was my first "passion" and a start to rebuild my life. A lifelong path, but one in which i will always post regularly and feel a bit like i´m not doing my part when i for some reason can not for a while.

The Moderators are amazing! And more welcoming and supportive than i've got to know anywhere else on the internet!

The contests are great! And more generous than competition!

The Content is way above average compared to other steemit content or competing social media!

The community is amazingly supportive and sticks together, i've already made some friends here"

And those, amongst many others are why @stemitcurator1 and / or whoever decides on it, should really consider giving the title of Community of the month to #WOX .

Some recent photographs, to show what i "do" around here. :p

These are all from a recent walk of mine, the sky was more gloomy i'm not sure but it's more "Eythorphot - esque" this way. (worked in some colour)

First we have this militarized ship that caught my eye, i originally thought it might be a Danish warship, however turns out i was later told it is a new Icelandic Coast guard vessel named "Ragnar"

This here house "Bryggjan" or "The Pier" now houses a Bar / Club however i still feel it looks so respectful and "vintage". it has something too it, at least for me, it must have been a Danish monopoly house or something, i´ll find out...

I got fascinated by the green and red houses, their form as well as depth of field in this one.

Those defiantly have a feel to them, they are old labourer / factory worker housings, coloured red, small like miniature soviet blocks. :)

Around these times there is always a lot of renovation going on, as people haste to finish before winter's arrival. This house had been removed and i wondered if it might have nice depth and cubic feeling from red boxes. it's different and i like it.

As i was finishing up this post since such big part in the beginning was text, i found another torn off house image, so i slide it in here. It just looks so weird, and to think of it people live in the image's below house

then there is this older image that i´m not sure if i've posted before but it caught my eye and it's good,

It´s from our trip this summer to Raufarhöfn Iceland it is Siggi Uber Suber and his captain getting the fish to land on the harbour after the morning tour.

Well that will be it of photos and who am i and my shoutout to those in power of choosing community of the month to seriusly consider #WOX they surely deserve it!

I throw in here for bragging rights a"painting" i made... well i got some help from my girlfriend @amanda.yrr she drew these lines, i filled them in on canvas with acrylic paint! then i photographed the painting and worked a little with it on my phone, and this colourful woman emerges.

i couldn't and can't still decide on which one i like, the one with the "frame" or the other. so i published both.
