Spring spotted street. Part 2
I used to love the beautiful sky in the frame, because I was a landscape painter. And now, even in the landscape, the sky appears very rarely, as it says little about the life around it.
If, of course, we are talking about weather conditions (thunderstorm, storm, sunset, dawn), then the sky will tell you about these phenomena.
How much has my vision of the world changed through the lens!
At first, I thought that the street or landscape could only be shot wide angle, and I even bought myself a 17 mm.
And now I use mostly a telephoto lens....and it bring some slack.
A long focus compresses the space and allows for spotting.
But if you need live footage, then the effect of presence will be just for a wide angle.
And I became very rarely present...to be in the thick of things.
But not in the thick of the reporting events, but in the thick of life!
We need to start infiltrating busy spaces again, taking pictures of children, people in everyday life who are doing something.
The spotting is interesting, but only as an abstract photo.
Again, if we talk about the presence of the photographer in the frame and the effect of this on the plot, then a long focus allows you to remain unnoticed.
If you get too close to the movement, people start posing or behaving unnaturally.
It turns out that the maximum non-stop is achieved with a telephoto lens, from afar, where people are not even aware of photographing.
But at the same time, the effect of presence is lost.
In short, you need to shoot both.
After all, reality is everywhere, both far and near.
