River port in Vologda

in WORLD OF XPILAR21 days ago

This topic is not new to me, and the archive already contains pictures of the river port on a frosty winter day. But I don't have any night shots. And besides, I got my hands on a two-time teleconverter, how not to take advantage of the opportunity to take pictures of metal piles of shipping equipment!

You can remove the river port beautifully, but I was interested in the graphics – my favorite spotting, which I've been moving away from lately.

I need to reconnect to this wave and start adding reality-stained carpets to my collection.

In addition, the new 100-500 mm lens allows you to compress the space even more.

Here, the teleconverter was used on an old 100-400 mm lens, which made it possible to increase the maximum focal length to 800 mm.

Focusing didn't work on an old camera with such a bundle of optics, but here there are practically no misses.

The quality is dropping by itself, but I just wanted to understand if I needed an ultra-long-focus lens over 500 mm.

I will discuss this topic about an extremely long focus in detail in future posts.

In the meantime, about the port, which I was able to capture only from a few points from afar.

After a long thaw, the river froze, but the ice is not strong enough to walk on it confidently.

Therefore, only from afar, without interesting details.

In general, I would love to see some old abandoned port, where there are many huge rusty ships. Although I had such an opportunity as a child – at that time river navigation was still well developed in Veliky Ustyug, but there were already many abandoned ships that we enjoyed crawling on.
