So, this year we are celebrating that Oslo made its name as Oslo, and that happened in 1925, and since we are in 2025 now, that is really 100 years ago, and this should be marked different places as we are today when we are here where we are. And we are not sure about whether all kinds of decisions made in the past are really correct, and what should be done ever since about decision or facts or fictions when we are here.

So, Oslo had the name Christiania to 1877, and after that it changed its name to Kristiania, and that name was a going activity and name until 1925, and Oslo has therefore had its name for more than 100 years now since it started on 1 January 1925, and we are in different countries now just as things are happening in local, regional, national and international environments while we are here where we are when being here as we have been and still are in the present and in the future.

The name Oslo is not surely explained in all the sources that we have experienced and perceived in the past time that has been here and there. The suffix -lo is most commonly interpreted as a meadow by water, and the prelude os is interpreted as the estuary and the ridge, and therefore there is a hill in Oslo like Holmenkollen, and there is water around us, like for instance the lake with Besserud and the Oslo Fjord.

So, Oslo is the capital of Norway, and there are long distances many places in Oslo for coming from one place to another, and in Bergen they have solved this trouble with the place and time and the history, to make the city to be a density of things, having statues of Edvard Grieg, Christian Michelsen, Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson, Henrik Ibsen, Ludvig Holberg, Ole Bull, Nordahl Grieg and even more, and this means that Bergen is a city with many things placed in short distances around, and the statues and the shops and restaurants are clustered around Torgallmenningen and Bryggen to mention some of the most popular and famous places while being in Bergen as you and I can do. Bergen was founded by King Olav Kyrre in 1070 and soon developed into an international trading centre. Bergen was the capital of Norway until Oslo took over in 1299. Still, Bergen remained a clerical and commercial centre. Accordingly, Bergen was the capital in Norway for more than 200 years, and the name of Bergen was Bjørgvin when it was capital in Norway, and we are thinking and researching that the name Bergen for Bergen was given Bergen in the late part of the 1300s.

So, Oslo what are we finding there of interesting and exciting and famous things when we know that things are in our international languages in many countries when coming to what Immanuel Kant wrote about das ding an sich. And this means that an object is just what it is independently of our recognition of it, but in addition to this thinking, we also find the kinds of subjectivity in the objects giving our own meaning to the object, and these things are also done in groups and societies by several persons as being as they are when being here.

And Oslo is known for its modern design and architecture, not to mention the iconic building called for the opera, and we also has the tradition and the history of skiing in Oslo, and therefore Holmenkollen is extremely popular, and there are parks there, and we also have a castle and a parliament located in the middle of the city of Oslo.

The power is just in the hands and the heads and the hearts of people being exposed with that and having positions where they are giving and taking a message about what is going on when being in all kinds of media channels, and ordinary knowledge and information channels while we are here as we are. And Pfeffer and Salancik from Stanford University have written something about it. And they are writing about having control of the organizations from the external side and the external perspectives, meaning that we are making comments and opinions from the outside, and we are working inside.
