It's definitely really important to "pick your battles" in this modern world of ours... which does seem very influenced by extreme viewpoints, and the people who hold them showing little interest in actual dialogue.

I have long since given up on the idea that I have to be right about anything, and usually back away from situations where I sense the other person is only interested in "winning the argument."
