RE: Reflection: Doing the "Right Thing" and Dreams of Making A Difference
I think the lure of making the world a better place — in our own personal way, according to our own personal interpretation — is strong for some of us. I'm largely a hopeless idealist, with romantic leanings... always hoping for love, peace and connection.
Actually finding it is a whole different thing...
I "see" your energy... you would have been a formidable attorney!
Mostly, my ambition/dream has been to make people think. Think, as in consider their perceptions. Not looking to change anyone, just to wake them up to truly understand what they are saying, when they are saying what they are saying. It's the process of gently telling someone "That's AMAZING! Have you ever thought about what would happen if you turned it 90 degrees?" and then walking away with that seed potentially planted in their mind.
We must give of ourselves where it matters, and where it's appreciated. And that might just be a tuna sandwich, or making the cat in your lap happy.
As for that half full glass? It's refillable, @jaynie! Got wine...?
xo
You can say that again, lol!
Thank you for the vote of confidence @denmarkguy and also... for "seeing me" xxx
I love this!!!! and have so much for respect for you that you can plant a seed in someone else's mind without it becoming a contest of ego. They don't walk away feelin any less of an individual or berated on any level... which makes it even more likely the seed will get sown.
Did you keep the cat happy today? :P
Always ;)
