RE: Our town mayor is not supporting me despite that I am a handicapped citizen of our town

in WORLD OF XPILAR14 hours ago

We do not have a local paper here, there is no budget for that and I researched about the contact numbers and email addresses of the municipal town council to hopefully email them but they do not have any email addresses that people can contact. All they had was the contact numbers for emergency numbers for the local police, water district service, etc., but none from the executive department.

My mother actually tried to request for financial assistance like she normally does ever quarter of the year and it is like normal to get it afterwards. But from this current mayor, the would say that the paper/documents that my mother gave had lost, it just means that they denied my mother's request while other people got theirs.

It is painful to know too that the municipal officers in our town are actually not from here, they live elsewhere even our Town mayor is not from here and I don't know why it happened and now we are just held captive by this ugly administration that do not even give consideration to a person with disability which's sin is failing to vote for her.

That is why I was moved to renew my voting rights so that I can be able to vote again to make some difference in the next election particularly after the Mother of the former Mayor visited our house to see me when she went to our village to give some financial assistance to some people here and I was the ones that she visited because she knows me as I had been a dialysis patient in their hospital about 21 years ago and only transferring after our church made a dialysis facility that later closed after 5 years.

Anyway, I have to take action myself because I got alarmed about the style of this Mayor's ugly politics which is a shock to our people because her politicking is brutal as it only favors her voters and disenfranchise others if not punished and it historically was not the case from her predecessor Mayors and I guess that the people learned a lesson about this mistake of letting a seemingly good person to rule our town but faced a backlash particularly to those that didn't voted for her.

That is why I was not accepted to the town's new dialysis facility which offered free service, little that I knew that there is a politicking going on and so I was rejected. considering that again I was the longest person on dialysis in our town or province and I was not recognized or given a consideration. it made my mother cry out of frustration.

Thankfully after a few months our national health insurance improved our benefits which given us more dialysis allocations, free medicines and bloodwork, and also freed us from out of pocket expenses like buying those expensive dialyzers. The only difference is I have to go far from home instead near from that dialysis facility of the town.

It is pointless to relay my grievances to this Mayoress because I do not think she will change her style of governing, basically punishing people that didn't vote for her, and so the townsfolks already knows about this issue and because of that, it caused a lot of resentment over her disappointing governance as I mentioned and I am sure that she will be actually replaced in the coming election and finally clear the Municipal government from outsiders.

I really thank you Miss @wakeupkitty for offering help but I do not want to be put in heat if you will steer things up in here because we do have ugly politics here in my country and not it creep-up to my own town but I will just let it go because after all, the current Mayoress is already unpopular because of what I mentioned and this make our election results very interesting for sure. 😀👍
