I am such a very emotional person as my eyes are welling-out tears as I am writing this rather event in my dialysis life where one of the senior nurses will finally and hopefully work abroad in the USA and I do not know where in the states that she will work as a dialysis nurse but I will surely miss her because she had worked at the dialysis center for about 12-13 years and in my opinion it really took so much time before she will temporary immigrate to work and practice her noble profession as a dialysis nurse away from her family.

My cousin which is the same age as her had been in London as a nurse and I am not sure if she is a renal nurse as well but I am sure that she had been there for more than a decade. There are hundreds of thousand nurses working abroad and the reason was a great pay unlike if they will just work here in my country, they will not only be overworked but underpaid too.

Most of the nurse students aims to work abroad, they would only work here to practice in patients until they take exams, maybe learn an additional language to use for the target country that they are planning to work into abroad, and then furnish the necessary steps and documentation to "graze into greener pastures."

The salaries of specialized nurses particularly if you will hold a leadership position like a head nurse really pays off well abroad like in the west especially but including Japan and maybe Singapore as well as in the "land down undah", Australia with neighboring Nee Zealand. Even some doctors here from my country would leave and study nursing courses abroad because again, the salary which is paid by the hour. Even the local nurses in the US for example can live off better with their salaries if they would spend it there, so what more if these dollars will be used here where the cost of living is cheaper and the dollar is more valuable compared to my local currency.

That is why with only a few years working abroad as a nurse, they would really enjoy what they earned and enough for them to be called rich in the process, so what more if they would be working for a couple or more decades. However, they will be toed to working and working and away from their families but at least they have something to be happy about but it is a trade-off where they have to sacrifice something for basically surviving this world in their own chosen way.

Anyway, this particular nurse is different from other nurses which I talked to in the past because she will make results for some of my requests. For example I told her that I do not like to feel so much thirsty and I told her to tone-down the sodium pump because it doesn't make me feel any better because of the burning thirst. She took heed of my woes after talking to someone on her phone, it could be the former head nurse or my Nephrologist and then I got the results which I wanted with some agreement on a compromise that I will not request for a bigger fluid pull/removal from my body because of the risk of my blood pressure crashing which was the main reason for that high sodium setting which is making me so thirsty that my lips would quiver and making me drink water like a Camel after a long trek in the desert.

Other nurses would not take heed and just ignores me and now I guess that I will have to directly talk to my Nephrologist although she ignores me as well when I am talking about my high creatinine levels. But because I do not experience the so-called intradialytic hypotension and is now more tolerable because of my own adjustments, my only goal now is to get the standard cleaning of my blood which is my current problem. So I am trying to have a no hypotension treatment session so that I can be granted my wish for the sake of a better well-being.

The nurses comes and they would eventually go because most of them has it all planned-up even before they went for College. I haven't missed many of them but only this one which I find more better to talk with because of the said results. I would really miss her and I just wish her success in her endeavor and other plans to do in her future. She is one of the hundreds of thousands if not a few million of my compatriots we call as unsung heroes as they continue to make sacrifices and at the same time help mu country economically by bringing dollars in for the benefit of my nation and the people living in it. May God bless all of my nurses.
