I'm not able to complete my treatment session yesterday but it might be a good sign though
Recently I was not able to complete my dialysis treatment sessions because apparently my blood sugar goes down. It is because the session yesterday prompted one of my renal nurses to take the reading of my blood sugar level and she told me that it was that low, it reads "90". But my mother told me tat it was not that low because the low is about 70 or less than that level.
Well, I thought that also the blood sugar test was free so I just agreed to be tested because after all it is easier to convince patients who are in a dialysis complication like I experienced being lightheaded already due to the fact that my last meal yesterday was at around 6:00 AM and my session will not complete until 2:30 PM in the afternoon. So all the while I am not eating while getting the dialysis treatment and only sucking on two hard candies for the purpose of not getting my blood sugar to get too low because the dialysis process takes away blood sugar from the blood as well.
So after my nurse asked me to have my blood sugar tested I just had to agree, then she asked me to have some "D-50/50" solution infused directly into my bloodstream. They use it in treatments of patients with cases of muscle cramps as a complication of dialysis treatment although in our center I never had seen patients suffer from bad cramps because in actuality, the treatment in our center is not that really good, I can consider or call the treatments to be still mild. It is because I was along-time dialysis patient over there and the clean factor was not the same as before.
I asked to have some Sprite to drink first so the nurse agreed. One of the senior nurse over my clinic has snacks for sale inside the treatment center so that is the food that sometimes other patients buy from her. Even though I drank the Sprite and actually feeling much better already, the nurse proceeded to give me the D-50/50 solution so that it will help me elevate my blood sugar again. But I regret it because it already spoiled my appetite which is why I was not able to eat well after my session because it dissipated my hunger as it contains sugars and acid which is why it is used to treat muscle cramps related to dialysis treatment. The the sugar contained in Sprite added to diminish my hunger a great deal too.
Anyway I just got scared about the impending hypotension brewing because it could get worse at any second and leave me in a very dangerous situation so I have no choice but to call the attention of the nearest nurse to me and terminate the treatment session so that I will not suffer a bad case of hypotension that can very well mean my life. That is why my dialysis was not completed 15 minutes before the appointed time of termination. Now I will have to pay for the blood pressure test strip, the D-50/50 solution, and the softdrink that I drank which I now realized that the two former is not needed anymore since I already drank some 250 mL expensive Sprite.
I am sure that I am not adequately withdrawn with extra fluids because I can feel it. The hypotension might mean that I already had gained a little mass which is why I can target my comparatively lighter weight now. The hypotension might also mean that the dialysis process is efficient in cleaning my blood, hence it lowered my blood sugar considerably. Now what I will just do is to snack while I am hooked-up at dialysis even though it might do the opposite and give me more risks of developing hypotension but I have to see if it will work which I am not really sure because of course I had done that before and it seems that it doesn't matter if you eat or not while hooked-up at the machine because I will still feel lightheaded during those past history of my dialysis life, I still have to see once again .

It's surprising me you are allowed to drink sprite, is that the same sprite that I have in my father's shop? Or it's something special because you mentioned about the expensiveness.
I wish you can get better even without completing the whole treatment. I wonder, can you stand or walk now?
Sprite is recommended to drink if dialysis patients choses to drink it because it has no Phosphorus or phosphoric acid. I needed to drink some because I am also thirsty at that time plus my blood sugar level according to my nurse was low yesterday.
The cost of soft drinks here are expensive, it is good because people will try to avoid it and will be good for them to also avoid busting their pancreas. Diabetes is one of the top causes of death in the world and Kidney failure is one of its complications. That is why it is high time for people to eat natural foods to avoid lifestyle-related diseases to happen.
I can walk around the house but not normally as before and now I prefer to just lay down most of the time on my bed to avoid straining my weak joints because I still have weak bones which I am trying to improve more with its integrity and strength.
Thanks be to God it gets trickles of improvements over time because of the particular vitamin and natural superfood food that I use everyday. I am praying that these improvements to continue because it improves my overall well-being and of course it makes me happy. 😀👍

really? soft drinks are expensive in Philipines? in Indonesia you can get it for 1 steem though.
I remember years ago when you were on the bed and you can't walk at all.. that's why I asked. I'm so happy to know that you're not bedridden anymore and there's so many improvements in your health. do you remember our belated @fitinfun? she's the one who introduced you to me at that time. let me recall 2018 or 2019. No, don't dig up to find the post. LOL.
You're amazing @cryptopie, I can see how persistent you are through the time, never give up to be health and healthier. I wish you all the best and thanks for your amazing comments and posts as always
The government imposed a tax on soft drinks and cigarettes too a few years ago which is why soft drink prices continues to rise and as I said, it is good because many people will be discouraged to buy soft drink and it can curve the diabetes prevalence in the population as a whole.
Yes I know fotinfun, she died because of her health issues with not much support if not the cost of hospitalization added to her rather untimely demise and may she rest in peace.
Thank you for your encouragement, I am really thankful to God because of these improvements in my health which I got so scared before that it would go worse but instead I somewhat had put on the brakes and able to turn into a better health condition where all the people around me already lost hope of me in achieving and yet with the mercy, grace, and miracle from the Lord God, I am able to get better more than I imagined although I can't go back to my previous normal appearance and function, I am still not losing hope that more good things will happen in my life.

@fitinfun (Sharon) did receive help. I sent her money via Paypal and so did others but she went to hospital too late. I believe what hurt her more was the fact she would never meet her son again after she left.
It surprises me too that you drink Sprite. No way they give it with us. You can have a small cup of coffee with a cookie and if you are later some kind of lunch. I spent many hours with my friend as she had to go to hospital which she no longer wanted but if you refuse she said they would kick in her door and force her.
Every time I read you I am surprised you have to attract the attention of the nurse. I hope your health will improve. You are a miracle already and with you I have the hope more miracles will come on your way.
Know that you are special to me.
Rest in peace to Sharon, it was great to know that you were able to lend a helping hand to her during those times that she needs it although she didn't make it through. It is one reason why I have to empower myself to help support myself financially because it is hard to get a support everywhere and I am so happy that at least I can do it now and it wiped-out my worries about where to get some resource if things like emergencies happen although I feel like an Ant trying to prepare for a rainy day everyday and no more chance to enjoy life like other people like even spending sometime to other places to appreciate some scenery or foods, it cannot be possible now.
I drink some sprite as a treat sometimes particularly after my treatment session as a drink of choice when I eat my post-dialysis meal but I do not drink it that often because it is sweet and a pancreas-buster. Anyway, I have to drink some at that time because it is what is available in the treatment area plus my thirst is already burning my mouth at that time too.
I chose not to eat anymore at the dialysis center because it is quite inconvenient for me to eat while wearing my surgical mask which I have to also put on all the time as I feel embarrassed showing my face while eating. In the last instance that I ate a piece of sandwich and it is a struggle so I just suck on a couple of hard candies during my sessions just to avoid these things.
Thank you for being there to listen to me and caring @wakeupkitty not a few people says that to me. May God bless you always. 🌹🌹🌹
Sharon had no health card or insurance so she said every time she couldn't go to hospital. Her body and legs were extremely swollen and she had a lot of pain. The room she rented was terrible, The rain came through the ceiling and if I remember well her frontdoor was kicked in as well (not sure if it was robbery). She had hardly to eat mainly her and the laptop and she couldn't open a bank account or lay hands on Steem without a middleman (in this case a woman).
As she finally stumbled into the hospital they kept her and tried to help her. She posted a few times from there while she kept asking for money because the rent should be paid, the hospital and so on.
I don't believe there were enough people who could help her with all the financial issues she had, at least not me. I still don't know why she emigrated and went abroad without savings. She could have emigrated to plenty of countries with better healthcare of perhaps social care?
It's extremely hard if you know no one and make no income and that case I would stay where I am because at least I can find my way here. I know where to ask or where I can find or get things for free like clothes and things for the house and even books. It's difficult and lonely without family or friends and I believe that family that helped her with steem dealt because of her with a lot of stress as well.
I am not sure if her son knows she died but heard her Steemit accounts were empties after she died but I never checked it.
It is a worry if you are left alone and if something bad happens how to pay for medical care or help. I have an insurance which hopefully pay for the funeral but someone has to tell them I died and ask for the money which is a certain amount and most likely not enough. i hope I can take care of myself because if I see homes it's not a place where I would like to stay.
If you have the money what would you like to do? Visit your niece or go to the cinema or the beach or? You drive a car so what if you stay over in a hotel if you visit a place, enjoy some foods or the scenery? Perhaps you can arrange a dialyse in a different hospital for one or two times?
I did that with my friend so we could rent a house nearby the beach. On the last evening we kind of celebrated. I made a fire, we ate and drank something and we gave each other a souvenir as a memory of the holiday we spent.
Let me know where you like to go, okay?
Nothing so bad as a dry mouth. I wonder if there's anything that helps against it. It's a good thing that there's Sprite available which can help a bit against the hunger too.
I understand it makes you uncomfortable if people stare at you but I keep wondering how you can breath with that mask. During the c19 misery I used one 2 or 3 times as I had to enter the shop and I can't plus I always start sneezing and it causes allergies to my skin. I rarely eat bread because I find it hard to swallow and easily choke in it. Seems to be something in our family.
If you like to talk you can always contact me though I am not always online. I switch off my phone if I sleep but feel free to leave me a message on Telegram @wakeupkitty or send me a gmail.
It's countdown right, soon your new phone will arrive and you will busy for hours to install everything you need or will you take photos first?
Say hi, to your mom, I hope she is feeling better and you are too.
Thank you for talking to me and the wishes, know that I consider you a friend.
We speak another soon, blessings and a warm embrace for you.
Thank you❤️❤️
Hello friend, your sick? Am sorry about your health. I pray you recover soon. Nothing would happen to you, I gat your back. Common guy, do you really finished the 250ml sprite? What type of sprite is that? I don't really like sprite because of it sugar quantity in it. Did the nurse agree before you take it?
