Thanks be to God that there was no fuss about this day and that I had came and went home again for my dialysis with the assistance of our free Barrio ambulance service. My mother was the one contacted our Barangay captain for reservation of the said emergency vehicle because some of the roads going to my dialysis center is flooded. In fact the next Barangay's road is not passable for the ambulance itself so we have to take the other route which was the river dike.

The rain is not even that strong and are not continuous but after some hour or two of rain everything will flood. Very unusual and actually record-breaking because I feel that our town and the nearby towns are sinking. Apparently, the few dams around would let out extra water on top of each other and then goes down to our towns here in my province. So no wonder I am always seeing some of the coastal Barangays get flooded caused even with a high tide.

But I guess that the lesser trees around the dams and the mountains are contributing to the widespread unusual floods now because there are not much trees and foliage to support the absorption of extra water. It adds to the pressure of water that has to come to the land areas and make flooding worse. In my younger years in the early 90's it would rain constantly but it will not cause extensive flooding but now with just a few hours of rain, roads would get unpassable.

Our dialysis center is already like an island, the parking area at the back and the front is already flooded as the drainage system is already full because of the rain and then also the high tide floods the parking area regardless of there will be rain or not. My concern is that there will be a certain point that the dialysis treatment there will be suspended at least for a day if the water will come inside. They have a way to resume treatment inside the hospital itself and I think that it is high time for the management to reconsider elevating the dialysis center and its surrounding area because of this problem that will never go away.
