Living a Transparent but Half-filled Life in this Wicked World
Is your life completely filled or is Half-filled as this glass cup? Many today live incomplete lives. They face financial constraints, are single, depressed, sick and the likes. They feel their lives aren't complete because they lack one or two necessities. What about those who have all they need in life, the money, happiness, family etc...but live a dubious life, a life of deceit and wickedness..... They are others that doesn't have all these basic necessities to become whole but they live a transparent, free and good life.
I thought of the meaning of the picture above and how it appeals to us individually and this is what I could come up with. They are people that basically have little but are happy. Their life may not be whole or complete but they live lives free from guilty, dishonesty and other worthless way of life people exhibit today.......Now, the picture.....
I actually didn't think of creating this original photos at first. I thought of just placing the glass cup on a surface and snap. I never thought of these creativities that are shown in the photos below. After getting a clear roadmap on how I want the picture to appear, I made the glass cup wet before making it half-filled with water. The essence of making it wet is to create photographic impressions and water drops on the surface of the class cup to define obstacles.

Obstacles?? Yes, those whose lives are half-filled face obstacles but are happy managing their obstacles and coping with problems of life. So I took this glass cup outside to where my mum's farm is and placed it up in a way that would depict what's in my head. Why did I use this background?. I used this background as hope for those whose lives are half-filled. You know the glass cup is transparent and even as its 50% filled with water, people can see the other side of the glass cup.
Let's put it together to avoid confusion.....
- The water drops on the glass cup signifies obstacles that can't be removed except the cup is cleaned and dried.
The half-filled glass cup signifies those who don't have the world but are satisfied and balanced. They don't need to be filled to attain balance.
The transparent nature of the glass cup signifies that one can have little in this life which makes his life incomplete but still, the life the person lives is one that's transparent, free and worthwhile. You can see the person's in and out as someone who's reputable and live a good yet satisfied life even with the absence of what makes him whole.
- The green background indicates hope for one who's life isn't completely filled. The grass is greener on the other side.
So I took pictures of this half-filled glass in different angles and then edited it for clarity purpose. I just made the clarity prominent so the obstacles and the water in it can be visible. I also made room for water balance to be seen in the glass cup. These are some of the creativities I made with the glass cup.
Pictures were taken with my Redmi Note 13 pro

Good reflection to give meaning to your photographs. We live in a diverse world, where only some see the half-full side of life.
Thank you for joining the contest.
