My Journey, My Numbers, My Hope

Life has not been easy. I’m the second born and first son, so everyone thinks I have to be strong all the time. My phone went missing on the day of my second exam. I didn’t know what to do. No phone to read, no phone to check school stuff, no phone to even chat with friends.

Some days, I don’t even have money for transport, so I walk long distances to school. I get tired, my legs hurt, but I just go. What else can I do?

These numbers… yeah, they kinda tell my story:

3 – The exams before I lost my phone. Felt like everything was going wrong.
5 – The times I walked to school, sore and tired.
7 – The small steps I take every day even when it feels like nothing’s happening.
9 – Books lying messy by the road but still helping me.
11 – Times I freaked out in class without my phone.
12 – Second semester at Uni of Uyo… I just wanted to survive.
14 – Hours walking, studying, trying to catch up.
16 – Mistakes I made but somehow learned from.
18 – Days without my phone, felt lonely but kept going.
19 – Missed calls from friends before someone helped.
21 – Little wins, like getting a question right.
22 – My exam number… always checked it first.
23 – Notebooks full of messy notes, but they’re mine.
25 – Promise to myself: don’t give up.
27 – Long walks to think, to breathe.
28 – Times when I wanted to give up but still had hope
30 – The little sun in the morning made me smile after a tough night.
32 – Lessons from struggle. Patience. Strength. Hope.
33 – Steps I imagine taking toward my dreams.
35 – Moments I smiled at small wins no one noticed.
37 – Minutes thinking how far I’ve come.
39 – Challenges that tried to stop me but couldn’t.
41 – Helping friends even when I had little.
42 – Sunrise at the end of the road I drew… bright orange, yellow… hope.

Life is messy. Hard. Tiring. But even little steps matter. Even little wins matter. The road is long. The sun in the morning tells me good stuff is coming, so I just have to keep moving.
