Привет всем! Hola, everyone! Hola a todos!

The WORLD OF XPILAR community was created as a place for artists, photographers and other creative endeavors. Here you can show yourself and look at others, enjoy beautiful works and funny conversation. I will not list all the features and benefits of such communication. Everyone here can find something of their own.

There are professionals and amateurs among people who are passionate about creative activity. There are those who want, but do not know where to start. Of course, there are many training videos on the Internet on any topic. But this cannot replace direct communication with the author of the publication. Moreover, if the author himself is your Steemit friend.

For many, today's master class and its topic will be unexpected. We are already used to the fact that creative posts contain drawings and photographs. We will expand our views and possibilities.

On a sheet of paper or canvas, you work with a plane and on a plane you are trying to create a three-dimensional drawing using shadows, bends of lines and other techniques. But you can create 3D objects directly. This applies to modeling, casting, other types of 3D creativity and wood carving as well.

You can draw an eye on paper, but you can also carve an eye out of wood .. And not only the eye, but also the bas-relief of the face, for example.

I understand that a special tool is needed to work with wood. But while relaxing on wild beaches and finding an interesting piece of wood, I start to carve something right on the beach with an ordinary sharp knife.

It happens that you just need to slightly tweak what nature itself has created. Sometimes you have to remove excess wood from a branch. Believe me, this is a very exciting experience.

Our newcomer support member @erickyoussif has offered to show you simple woodcarving tricks with carving ... vegetables. I think that everyone in the house has a potato or carrot and a small sharp knife. If you follow the advice of the Master, then by Halloween you can surprise everyone with the wonderful work on the pumpkin. In my opinion, it is worth it to participate in this fun.

Just take care of your fingers :)

If you realize that woodcarving is interesting to you and you want to continue, then you can already purchase a real tool and good wood. But first you should try it just in your kitchen.

Today I am ready to announce the theme of the first woodcarving workshop. But first, I highly recommend reading the rules of participation.

Rules

  • The student subscribes to the Master's account so as not to miss his escort
  • The student makes a repost of the Master's post and this poster post in order to spread more information about the project on the platform.
  • The student must subscribe to the WORLD OF XPILAR community and create his own educational post in it
  • During the week, the student completes the Master's homework and creates his own post, in which he shows in detail the progress of the assignment and the final result. He sends a link to his post to the Master in the comments under his post-assignment.
  • Add #master-class as one of the first five hash tags. This makes it easier to find your job when the need arises.
  • The master gives feedback to the student, notes the shortcomings and successes of the assignment.
  • After the expiration of a week, the Wizard sums up the results of the tasks performed by the participants. Three best student works are presented for awards from the curators of the WORLD OF XPILAR community.
