Sounds as if Talkchannel is not popular how come? Does no one care what happens on Steemit or is it too hard to find the topics?
Bingo
I bought to cards but after that I have no idea what happened, no idea how long I will play with the cards let alone what I can win except for stress being absent unlike other games.
Management of Communities
Is this question based on something I missed?
To me it's very simple: the one who started it is the founder, the owner and I assume s/he has the key. Should those keys be shared with a second or third party I can't tell. It depends on the type of community and if it comes to the ones I started I have no intention to share keys with those giving a hand since they rarely stay around very long and even left without saying a word and I am not in the mood the change the keys every month,
I have no keys of every community I work my arses of or at most the posting key so no way to lay hands on the cash.
If the founder/Admins take the Steem and power down I doubt there's anyone who change a thing about it. We've been there several times and all I see is that moderators are blamed and the founders does as he likes and comes, leaves, arrives and receives support again.
Are games promoted?
I'm sorry to say this but I have strong doubts about the promoting aspects. If I wouldn't read a lot and hop from one community to the next, if I wouldn't write comments I would know noting about games on Steemit and if that counts for me it's counts for everyone. No way any promotion is noticed except for bingo lately but let's be fair the comment line is filled with all type of "commercials" and I doubt anyone still feels the need to click links.
A great Sunday friend, pity no one shows up.
@aneunkpineung78 did you by bingo cards?
@fajrularifst you are the game reviewer let me know if you can explain in baby language what the gain is
@kafio how about you? Did you play Bingo or are we all waiting for memory?
I can say that most people (users) do not leave their homes (posts) to try to obtain information or share it with other users, much less consume the products or services offered in the community.
Now let me explain about Bingo, you have bought 2 cards in Bingo, when you buy cards from Steem Bingo, the cards are generated automatically, this was done in the 4th round.
The draw is held periodically, when a certain number of cards are sold. The page displays the results in the order in which the numbers were drawn. You can win by matching two consecutive columns (10 numbers), one column, one row, or an entire card. The first to match these conditions are the winners.
I think the problem is that no one wants to make the effort to support others, even though they feel entitled to be supported. Personally, you should always have the urge to seek out new things; it's like looking for new products and better prices in a shopping mall.
Regarding communities, thank you for sharing your perspective on this point. That's the point of the question, to know how you would manage a community account.
You really showed my cards in a cool way but I cannot or better don't need to make those rows or?
The main problem is the platform is too big and you easily get lost besides of not being welcome. You might laugh about it but unfortunately, this is true. Most communities do not welcome foreigners and they are only kind to a certain group. It gives me the same feeling as those cliques at secondary school.
What I don't understand is why certain "communities" or posts are promoted and others not or better more important of fun info isn't made more visible. I don't feel invited to have a look at @dip.team and their latest inventions or whatever they stand for. And why do we only see the most trending communities? Trending as in what?
What is trendy about:
SteemitCryptoAcademy
Newcomers' Community
আমার বাংলা ব্লগ
Korea • 한국 • KR • KO
STEEM CN/中文
Steem POD Team
Steem Alliance
AVLE 일상
Beauty of Creativity
WORLD OF XPILAR
Tron Fan Club
SCT.암호화폐.Crypto
Are you sure these are the communities the average Steemian is on the lookout for? If better content and commenting is preached and fun should be made clear why not show these communities or the contests available, why not music, games and film reviews? Or why not show the communities in turn and let people deceive for themselves where they like to be? The list above doesn't sound very attractive.
Communities
I don't believe you can compare my communities with those of others or the average one since I am the only one who posts in it and no one else is allowed with and exception for Art & Artists and I am not on the hunt for member or for being the biggest community, I don't need the boosting votes or whatever the show off reason is founders feel the need to be the biggest or more noticed one. Let's be fair that is'very hard work to give attention to everyone which isn't the case in WOX. Not one of the "leaders" take the time to join Talkchannel. A bit support wouldn't harm them and if they would write more of all those commenters would come back and have a look at the questions and would know Talkchannel is a way to stay updated.

How to have a look at Steem Dice? or is it the Bingo?
Is in the menu on the bingo page
In Steem Bingo, the game is played by whoever completes each category first; those are the winners.
On the other hand, the communities that appear in trend are related to the number of rewards generated within them. I think the solution would be to change the algorithm and have this display generated based on activity, based on the number of posts or comments. This list has been like this since the beginning of Steem.
Considering the community's situation, I've always thought that one of the things we must keep in mind when creating a community is having a good voting power to offer users—at least a decent $1 vote. The rest can be moderated according to needs. Even if we don't think about rewards as such, there should always be an incentive.
Everyone is free to act, but it's important to highlight what you say. Talkchannel keeps you updated.
Communities
It's great if a community can give an upvote of 1 dollar but.. why should the one who starts a community because of a topic of interest, to find like-minded, reward everyone who posts the next piece of trash? Why does the founder/Administrator have to pay for this? Where it the part of building a community together if that's the goal? Since I don't see it and knowing you always receive a 1 dollar upvote means there's no need to invest and we are back at our other thread where a small group invests, builds the luxury and the rest only takes and drains and complaints because they say they have a right to be upvoted.
I would love to give 1 dollar or a higher upvote but no way I would do that to everyone. Why not? Because I don't like most posts I see, I don't see the creativity, I find it shameful how high the upvotes are given for trash because (????) and on the other hand art/good writers are ignored. This platform should be grateful if artists are so stupid as to post here instead of investing in platforms that appreciate their work and give them a chance to talk with like-minded people and sell.
The question @almaguer and others asked many times is:
With what is it that Steemit likes to be associated with? The platform for..... ???? This question is never answered and it is important if you want to promote it.
If Steemit is only for investors it's better to let go of good content and to be happy with every original, entertaining, surprising post no matter if it's a song, a text, a photo, a film or game, a short or long since it's just that bit extra relaxing time if you check the wallet and you can listen to a song or play bingo or memory or read a short message.
Is the intention to be a gaming platform then there's a long way to go but no matter what it wants or likes to be there's one huge problem: lack of communication (comments).
Again I ask: what is the risk, is there a risk, if commenters are upvoted, those who are the motor of the platform like @pennsif suggested in August 2024 or was this all just a joke since in average no SC team cares about comments because they rarely comment themselves.
Sounds like a vicious circle which can't be broken.
The commmuities who appear in trend do not only appear in trend but are also forced upon everyone. We don't see the new posts but the trendy ones. I like to know what the idea behind this is? filling the wallets of the trendy posts first and next being out of VP?
I can't say I am thrilled by the first posts I see, it's not a great example of good content and a wrong way to promote Steemit and stimulate people to write since what they see is not what they are forced to write year after year.
How about setting "new" instead of trending.
Your suggestion might help but this also will mean that more, unnecessary posts will be generated to be shown at the top. Why not showing communities with a clear topic?
It's true that there are many things to consider; first, the support we hope to receive, and second, the curators' criteria for supporting a particular piece of content or user. There's a lot to consider in these aspects.
Regarding posts, we can see a list of new posts among all the tags.
It's not about finding new posts but about being confronted with trending and posts which add bothing to this platforn if it vomes to skills or making it look better.
Why should what is rewarded high be the first what we see? What is the idea behind this?
Why not NEW and feel motivated to read these posts and upvote?
Reading what @wakeupkitty wrote, an idea came to me. What would happen if we suddenly stopped commenting? Before I started to give my opinions, all this was very cold? If nobody starts to give an opinion, nobody moves to comment? Isn't criticism what we need to know the acceptance of what we write? Unless what is written is garbage and it is not necessary to wait for comments.
I make one thing very clear. And this is based on reality. The most successful platforms, not even the platform, are the ones that generate the content. It is generated by the users. Steemit from what I see, they focus a lot on investors (which are not bad), but investors, where there are no users, do not invest. Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, whatever platform, the user is the key, they generate the content. And don't forget that these platforms. The interaction between users is brutal, it's constant. Which generates more and more users. It generates more profits. And the joke is that these platforms don't even pay the user. Maybe steemit could better use paid advertising as these platforms do and generate money for other functions such as quality content. Examples of games and networks that were left in oblivion, because users were demotivated, hundreds.
It is normal, moreover, that hundreds of artists come to this platform and see the awards for poor quality and are disappointed. As a result, the artist is lost, but his circle of friends, with artistic affinities, too. Why recommend a social network, with lousy content?
It could be, and I believe it, that the fall of the steem price, to a large extent, depends on the little interaction between users. There is no FOMO, the fear of being left out of something, that desire to know what is going on has been lost. If every time you go back to your account nothing has happened. So what's the point of such a network?

Did you read critics if it comes to Lesson 5 of MWW?
I will read today the last part, which will take me the entire day to check, but already know who wrote and gave tips and who didn't and ignored and is too afraid to speak out or who doesn't show interest in why he isn't read or liked or what can be improved.
It's the same for being updated. Most don't care no matter if it is a new feature, a proposal, voting for witnesses or why the pictures used with a text don't fit.
Did you set a goal for your Steemit jourey?
Having fun, finding like minded can be one.
Mine is not keeping a platform alive against all odds no matter how much I like it since if it comes to it the platform doesn't like me and every comment asks for a reply.
####Who knows asking 6 months to not comment is more succesful than 6 weeks comenting?
#wewrite #comment
No, I still haven't tried it. I'm focused on development. I'm feeling desperate at the moment , so busy. I just entered the site and took a look for several seconds, but I found it hard to understand the game, so I thought, 'Let's see it on the weekend.'
As for the community, I haven't experienced it much, so I don't know. Regarding user interest in the games and apps promoted on Steemit, I don't see much of that. I'm seeing a lot of games that are hidden or unsuccessful, so I ask myself: do I have a place here? There's something missing in Steem, but I don't know what.
For the memory game, I hope to finish it by the end of this week.
Missing is visibikity. Unlike you I don't see those many games. It might help if there was one place (a community?) where all games could be found but I doubt that will happen because again eveey community wants to be #1 and not join hands to make games x Steem visible.
Don't feel desperate and do what yiu have ro do first (off line work) and next only what you like to do and what doesn't drain you. You grew way fastwr than I did in years and this is not what you can cope up with next to a job.
Have fun and if no fun let it be.
🤗♥️🍀
Me too, I said I don't see many games, and what about those who don’t have a community? Haha. Yeah, I like my job, but in the end, I will change it. I’m asking what I will do full-time in Steem and blockchain projects, not just what I’m doing now.
Like my friend's project: QRBase – a gamified crypto project where holding $SCAN, the first official token launched on @Zora, unlocks real rewards!
https://www.qrbase.xyz/
I like to be independent, and there’s no one telling me what to do. I don’t want to just be a salaryman, watching the owner of the company get rich while I get my salary at the end of the month and go home. Sure, my salary is good and I have a decent position, but there’s still something missing.
There are many decisions I will make soon.
Also, like I said, my time on Steem helped me improve my English.
How do you think community accounts should be managed, in terms of password control, votes and rewards in general?
@wakeupkitty, @xiao-aine
I think there is a lot of rain on the wet. Although the content (stuffing) should subsist, because of the possible answers already mentioned. I'm still thinking about the form, which should be implemented to somehow motivate artists to create real art. With artistic values. Any of the manifestations that carry some muse by the hand. Will a banana with a seal on the wall be art? Is generic art? Will ignorance and foolishness reign in this century? Will we take as absolute what any famous person says, just because he/she has followers?
We should motivate more about participation. Give more votes to comments. Maybe even the creators of diary games, for the rewards, will be motivated to catch sunshine and comment more than two words.
#wewrite #comment
Administrators always have the discretion to allow topics and content quality, however, I believe administrators should have some flexibility and pedagogy to guide users in improving their artwork and meeting the minimum standards they allow.
We are talking about community accounts that should help and focus on what we are talking about. (Don't misunderstand what I mean) Focus directly on improving the content. But for that you have to read the papers. Comment. Also, show real interest for others. For example, Hive is a dead community I attend daily. is that wanted for steemit? Banal posts with hundreds of votes. What does it mean, that the ability to reason has been lost? Are there own criteria, or is it the politics of the heap?
#wewrite #comment
It depends on the part of the platform where you post (I will not call it active) if it's dead or not. In average we can state that in most communities you will not find 1 single comment!
In August 2024 the suggestion is made by Pennsif to only upvote comments for 1 month and see what will happen. I found and still find that a good idea and as curators in September we voted for comments and also nominated them while most SCs don't. They don't care, because many of them never write a comment and if you don't write comments you don't read either. This is the case and nothing will change that as long as no one checks what those "so-called" comments look like. I also noticed that if I stop commenting others do the same and most good comments lead to me.
So what happens if I and a few others stop commenting?
I believe the Steemit Team made clear that they don't care about commenters and that they shouldn't receive a reward. If that were the case the choice for SCs would have been different.
For sure a part might stop posting but there would also be a group starting to comment actively and about the leaver all I can say is that the quality posts might be more visible and with that your question is answered.
Yes, there's a lot of truth in your point. Some curators don't have the ability to read comments; some even just want to be on a curation team to support their group of friends, which isn't fair. I think there's a lack of discipline or consistency in doing things, so I always wonder if users have a strategy or activity plan on the platform.
Can you imagine if, in a residential area, none of the residents go out to talk to their neighbors, don't build relationships, or meet to create improvements to the urban planning? In a certain way, nothing will advance in that urban society.
Sounds like a good question to ask but will the answer be true? Still worth asking. It can also be that there's no strategy or it develops later or they are used to make someone else grow.
I have no strategy, never had one but I do things different or act because of what I see, hear, read which is also meant as inspiring.
Isn't that the case in the offline world in many residential areas? I only have to look around me to see where the people live who only take and don't invest a cent in the neighbours let alone the "luxury" of their surroundings (own garden, park, streetlights, busstop..you name it). The result are ghettos and criminality rises.
Although it's not a strategy, it is an activity plan, but I assure you that there are users who, if they don't have three photos or an idea to develop a post, won't approach the platform, much less interact with others.
No more, no less.
That's why I say, when you say that if you have a community, you'll only accept quality paintings and not (a banana with a stamp on the wall), you're saying you'll exclude that type of content without guiding or motivating it to present something better.
On the other hand, it's important to be clear that on this platform and many others, there are direct investors who buy thousands of Steem. They use the voting power for their own benefit; that is, they give their own votes to their posts; they can't be forced to give votes to others. There's only one team that makes this possible (the Steemit team, through the Steemcurator and Booming accounts). There's a community support program, and not like on other platforms, where you must delegate SP or send Steem to receive votes in return.
Name one single Administrator willing to invest time in guiding newcomers on the platform or in the community. Just one.. I tell you there's no one and the a few who did spread a lot of nonsense and fear.. I am glad they are no longer around or at least I no longer meet them since the moment I gave up on joining contests (nearly one year ago how fast time flies by).
However we see it the question remains: whose community is it and who are the working dogs, the donkeys and who takes the money and runs? There's a huge difference between being a one-man community, using it as a storage for its own publications or fighting to be the number 1 with the nasty attitude, abuse and threatening members included.
The question is if the Steemitblog (is this actually every steemian?) fills the pocket of such a community (leader) shouldn't there be different rules?
I was referring more to guiding a user to share better work in the community itself. For example, if someone submits a drawing of a leaf and branch in their Art community, if the team doesn't agree with the drawing, someone from the team should say how they prefer the drawing—perhaps adding a fruit, or adding more depth or difficulty to the work shown. That way, good content is promoted in a community (in my opinion).
