I am going to tell you about my small incursion in the platform.
I have had very good impressions. I have met people with affinities in art (I emphasize it is very important to have someone to share ideas, thoughts, colors) We usually do not write to read ourselves.
The platform has some technical details of which I see that the community has already been denouncing or mentioning.
But I would focus on two fundamental aspects.
First: I still see the platform as a group of nomads, who sometimes hunt in groups for the imperative need that the prey can crush them, if they are not many.
They are many strangers who refuse to even comment. The enrichment of artistic experiences should be driven by criticism (constructive criticism by all means). Is it not possible to learn more from art, by its creators? Is not each person unique, therefore, their criteria are unique?
Why not comment and relate to others?
Second, why is the attention to artists who have been building a solid work for years so poor? Why reward the banal so well? If what does not cost effort is better rewarded, why make an effort? Will steemit be remembered for the platform that rewards many futile things? Is there a group of curators to look for talent in any manifestation of art? Why is little attention paid to the community that has high cultural value? Are we all really writers or artists, anyone can write, or compose, or paint?
I would have many other doubts, so I would like to hear criteria.
It will be true then that:
The strength of a writer is to say those things, which we feel inside and do not know how to say. And the writer says it in a simple way. In a way that you can understand. Poetry, literature, says the unsayable.

Greetings, friend @almaguer
It's important to understand that Steemit is a great platform. It's like a society where diverse personalities exist, each with its own particular interests, which are difficult to control or eliminate, as it's part of the decentralized culture on which the platform is based. However, you can easily join a community with common goals and work toward the goals and benefits they seek.
On the other hand, we must be clear that there is a lot of content supported to feed back a personal investment. That is, users buy Steem to transform it into Steem Power and rent it out in exchange for votes. This is an acceptable mechanism on the platform.
As for the community curators, "Steemcurator and Booming," they are spread throughout the platform, supporting a wide variety of content on any topic, country, or culture.
The goal is for users to accumulate as much Steem Power as possible, allowing us to generate community support that provides good returns.
You don't answer the questions, which is: Is art supported and if by whom? Are there steemcurators for Art/Artists only? The answer is no.
You both are right: everything is supported! Does that mean everything is good or everyone can write and everyone has something good to offer? Does making artists look bad give Steemit a good name? Is the greatness of Steemit what attracts most: post a few words, copy-past, translate and you receive a fat reward?
Does understanding, telling oneself "Steemit is a great platform" make up for whatever is going on? That's a strange approach @adeljose
I am glad I don't depend on rewards and cronyism if I post. What you promote is buying votes but not once you say "join hands".

All my work has been, almost to the margin, in my country (which is also another dimension), so the earnings for the work have been more than ridiculous. I have not written a line thinking of earning anything. The artist has the need to create, at least in my case, and some that I know. In fact, almost all great works have been from the use of some human disadvantage. Do you know any millionaire (rich by default) who would wake up one day from his laziness and write The Tell-Tale Heart?
Or would paint Van Gogh's Sunflowers, or would you be that struggling artist, who as Oscar Wilde said:
“Art is individualism, and individualism is a disturbing and disintegrating force. Therein lies its immense value. For what is sought is to disrupt the monotony of type, the slavery of dress, the tyranny of habit, and the reduction of man to the level of a machine.”

#wewrite #comment
Everything is relative in this life, but many things go according to our interests. I think it's fine for you to write without thinking about what you can earn; therefore, when we have these thoughts, it doesn't matter where I publish it or what rewards I may obtain, since the only thing that satisfies us is the act of writing. If we want something more, we must change. If we don't see the desired results, there are other art-related communities where we can try our luck.
Each person fulfills their role autonomously, just as we can't force a painter to write a poem, we can't tell investors to support the work of others.
The truth is, in such a vast world, we can't expect to be the center of attention, unless we work at it.
I once heard a speaker say, "The one who sells the most isn't always the best, but the one who makes themselves known the most."
I have seen this statement to be true several times.
Other art related communities? Can you give me the names?
The one who sells most... So if it comes to it art doesn't count or has to be rewarded cause the big mouth at the market place sells more than the artist painting underneath an oak this scenery.
Conclusion: if you shout, rude, mention steemcurator01 and 02 you are rewarded, if you follow the rules produce something good you are laughed at and told that art has no price and the love for art counts.
#wewrite #comment
Well, unfortunately, many artists who know how to paint aren't fortunate enough to receive support—I'm talking all over the world. I've seen many settle for painting murals or standing in a popular plaza selling a few paintings at a low price so they don't go home empty-handed.
There are several artists at WOX, and we always look for ways to support them to the best of our ability. When I'm part of a curatorial team, I always use the #art hashtag to support some posts.
Individualism is a threat even if the individualist doesn't feel the need to reign or get filthy rich. Pencils and papers should be paid though like a few meals per week, mine are free mainly at work. Am not complaining. I don't need the car to stay alive and a "hobby" may cost a bit sacrifice but what's the point sharing art, make a platform look better if no one cares? There are better platforms for artists with more support/critics. Stress isn't a kick to everyone, the pressure being the machine
I wrote this many times, you are one of the few saying this. Does it mean it is rare or we are a rare breed?
♥️🍀
It means we love, art, for art's sake. And we're not thinking about writing a beloved journal. Although I should finish painting and change my muse. Write. Dear Diary. It seems that children are not brought by storks or anything... they are made by the grown-ups... in the rooms.... (with the permission of the master G. Vidal) I take your words of nomad.
Or maybe. Dear diary.
I keep the body of this pig, which drooled on me, in the basement. The flies have integrated, gradually, into the landscape. The kitchen keeps me busy between incense, to alleviate the stink. Potatoes, they can't grow in the dark. I can imagine the terrible decomposition and the infernal language of these flies coming out of their mouths.
#wewrite #comment
Potatoes could grow in the dark but in the end they need light. How about ordering a bulldozer and flattening the house to arrange that? Would anyone dig up the body or look for crushed by bricks and zinc on a rainy day?
Diary, I forgot to tell you there's a guy laying around at the river site. You know the one Devil found...

There are no curators exclusively for a single topic; it all depends on the curator's taste or the person managing the accounts. However, there are other factors that can be considered. For example, some users only share a drawing or a micro-story and talk very little about it; most curators take that into account.
Nobody is looking to make anyone look bad, much less artists. The support programs are managed by the users themselves. Perhaps you can apply to be a curator and express your preference or criteria for supporting content.
Perhaps you misunderstood my words, or the translator didn't allow me to express myself properly. When I said "great," I meant it's very broad—more than 1,000 users, 500 posts a day, to give you an idea. Each user and each post has a unique characteristic. There are users who invest in Steem Power, and they have full rights to how they use their investments. I don't promote this; it's a strategy some investors practice to improve their earnings.
I agree. It's true that communities fight about who is the strongest, the best to receive the most votes. I noticed it from the start, which makes me hesitant to post everywhere and mainly stay where I can be on my own terms and when I want. I never signed up to be pulled into fights and wars and to deal with moody people, angry because of a lack of rewards, and I don't like to be played.
Are art and writing supported? Not as long as I can remember. Not by this community or any other, not by witnesses and rarely by SCs. You need skilled people to do this 24/7 job willing to stimulate in different ways. Hidden gems stay hidden. The average SC has no idea what art looks like and can't recognize creative text. Can you blame them?
Promoting myself through Twitter I consider a waste of time. It's not that an SC will show up after I went through that trouble. There are artists on Steemit, a part left like my sibling because the focus has always been on wordcount and the diarygame, pushing those who can't write into writing. Comments, criticism, and support are only important for artists but not for 99,8% of those posting here. They came for different reasons.

Yes, it's a matter of strategy; you see this everywhere, in sports, in business, seeking out the strongest for an alliance. I don't think there's an atmosphere of war between communities; everyone does their job, although there are always some who seek more support than they receive; that's normal. Is there a part of the world where this isn't seen?
I've always seen an artist among the Top of the weeks, currently, beyond the Steemcurator accounts, only the whales that give votes in exchange for delegations remain, it's something that is normal on the platform, we must continue adding Steem Power so that there are more important accounts that support artistic content, such as the case of @xpilar who always supports this theme.
Steem dropped from 6+ euro in 2017 to 0.12 euro cents. It is a huge loss for investors. I had a talk with @wakeupkitty about this last night after the news Steem is dumped by Coinmerce.
I disagree with you about "one platform, one goal" and the natural good intentions. Envy, hate rules and no uniting which brings me to your question with this topic of a few weeks ago. You never gave a straight reply meaning the strategy is not to work together but find the idiots who fall far it. That's how I conclude if straight answers are avoided.
I agree Steemit is like life itself. Aggression, uncomfortable, manipulative and with a bit of luck a few like-minded to spend time with.
Culture difference, battle of the fittest or strategy like you call it? Strategy as in fighting wars and putting pressure on members? What it might be it makes me feel unwelcome.
We must add more SP? I doubt we small fish make the difference. The bigger wallets power down and if back receive the same support and power down again.
A road is set and the goal is not meant for everyone to reach just like in life. A few collect all SP and reign the rest delivers, bow and should be grateful with the reign of a community giving tips.
Do you notice the difference with a few weeks/months earlier? Unknown members from Ukraine joined happily and from the moment they received the upvotes they never had and complained about they turn their back and exchange not a single word. I see this "trend" in most communities. The outsider is welcome to vote, delegate SP, set the community as beneficiary but will never belong to the club cause the flag or skin colour isn't the right one.
Your position is different from mine. It colours how we see this platform. A saving net to you worth the fight and a stressfactor to me if I invest more than good for me which is now.
#wewrite #comment
Since criticism is seen as negative, this is the first problem the platform deals with and the second is that it will (is) hard to add value to a post if there is no criticism.
There are entire communities without a single comment except for auto-replies from bots, moderator reports. puss and with some luck an SC upvote/picture.
Since the biggest communities work this way, commenting will never happen, especially not if comments are not rewarded and a clear message is given that a platform is DEAD without comments.
The Steemit team is aware of this fact and the fight, push, contests and promoting have existed for years, but if many don't care or see the platform only as a place to leave a message behind (no matter the type of message) what can be done?
If it comes to art (all sorts of art) the only solution I see is to be with like-minded which is or always was the idea of communities (not that this means everyone is noticed, liked, talked to).
The solution I see to make people comment more (the SEC contests didn't work) is to have commentors active in communities and on Steemit. Next to that it would be good if commenting would receive support (this could also be a booming vote.
There's a Dutch expression (translated): If you feel it in the wallet you will be more stimulaten than when it is asked nicely.
It's my opinion Steemit asked long enough and tried enough. The only difference I notice is that there are no longer that many AI-generated comments, which I find a relief.
If it comes to my art, I do like to read myself, I do write in the first place for me, and I do like to look at what I created, no matter if it's a story, painting, photo, bread, pie or tombstone.
Are we all writers? It depends on what you call a writer. To me, most are not, and there's no need to. Photos can be shared, jokes, music, films, there are plenty of options to be an active member of this platform and add quality which I hope will happen since there's enough trashy content and this is not the platform I like to visit to read AI generated texts about vaginas and next seeing it being upvoted.
#wewrite #comment
Criticism is necessary as long as it's constructive. When submitted, it should be accompanied by several options that serve as a solution to resolve the issue. In fact, I think the Steem team should create a comments-only account; this is something you, as Steem curators, partially promoted.
Communities are autonomous in their actions. In some cases, administrators and moderators lack experience in community management; in others, they only created communities to earn rewards. It's important to focus on communities that do a good job supporting users.
I'm also glad to see less AI content; we should always look at the source of votes; some users buy votes or receive them in exchange for delegations.
Yes, it's a bug from the last release.
The problem is that the page doesn't recognise the admin / moderator's permissions within an individual post. So the only way to set this permission is to return to the Community, and then click on the post. You should see the things that only admins and moderators can do at that point.
Hopefully I'll have some time to work on a fix at the end of the week.
Yes, it will be very sad if this interesting feature completely disappears from Steemit.
This is fixed on https://steemitdev.com.
I'll write a post to announce it tomorrow so that others can test it. You can have a sneak peak now so please let me know if it's now working correctly for you.

Greetings, friend @avoicest
Thank you for sharing this error. We hope it can be fixed soon.
We must work as a community to drive support for good proposals. "Proposal for STEEM DAO Reserve Fund" could be a major step forward for Steemit, as it would provide the resources or funds developers need.
The New Steemit.Com Interface
Yes I noticed a change in the Steemit.com interface, in general I think it is better than the previous one, especially because now this interface seems to adopt PWA (Progressive Web Apps) technology which allows it to be installed like an application, not only on mobile devices but also on desk computers (I use Microsoft Windows operating system).
Conclusion: the new interface is, so far, better than the previous version, but one question to @the-gorilla: where did the Pin or Unpin button go? Fortunately, there's steempro.com to the rescue.
The Proposal
I I have been aware of the existence of Steem Proposals for quite some time, but I had absolutely no knowledge about it. There are no proposals that I understand, after reading some of them, so I guess it's true what @wakeupkitty said, they are made for a certain audience, except of course @the-gorilla's proposal, although I can't fully understand it, I can still capture its essence, and also the gorilla's proposal immediately brings results that can be felt especially by Steemit.com users.
If any of you can enlighten me, please help me understand this proposal: https://steemit.com/spam/@wizardofaus/re-wizardofaus-q7i8nq. Out of everything there, this one really confused me. Is my understanding correct: total amount of funds needed = 3.63m SBD with an average of 1k SBD per day for 3632 days. That means almost 10 years of time needed. And the proposal was only submitted about 5 years ago. And I have no idea what it does.
Yes. That's how it is. And that's why I haven't supported a single proposal.
It's very interesting. Thank you. And if you answer, please answer in the way you would explain to a fool.
Have a great day.
Yes, I agree with you that there has been an improvement. The pin and unpin buttons appear after the content is published, in the same place as always. Sometimes they don't appear for me, so I have to leave the post and come back in.
The reserve fund proposal seeks to obtain resources to timely support developers who submit good projects. The funds will be managed by a multisig account, which will ensure that support is directed responsibly. This way, they avoid the protocol and long waits for the DAO to approve resources.
After the fork, few developers remained, and few users understood the importance of supporting proposals (not one had been submitted since the fork) until friend the-gorilla took the initiative. Since then, we have seen increased developer participation.
Okay. I will ask no more. Thanks for explaining.
Greetings, @the-gorillla
I'm reporting an issue that started occurring after the latest update. It concerns the responsive design displayed on Windows.
As I said, before, if I changed the settings for viewing Steemit pages, they automatically adapted to each setting. Now, they don't, and you have to do it manually. This wouldn't be a problem if I were to use it rarely, but I use it daily for daily curations, and it takes time.
Some screenshots.
Thanks for attention
Greetings, friend @joslud
This happens to me from time to time, too. I think the problem stems from images that are an irregular size in some of the recent posts. I'm sure @the-gorilla will investigate this.
Thank you for reporting this bug.
#miner-wewriters @naina9, @suryati1, @surmarni123 and @aneukpineung78 this is the place to be!

Interface update? I am not aware that there were any updates. Are they minor updates to the interface? Or, maybe it was there before I joined the platform itself. That is also a possibility.
I didn't know about the proposal. But, I am aware about the idea of a reserve fund and why should it exist in the first place. I guess, I will have to check that. In addition, I have not checked previous proposals too, I think that I need to locate that on Steemit and see what proposals are there.

Greetings, friend @ronnie10
In a way, I think you haven't been able to see the difference in the interface. There were superficial changes, which gave the communities a more dynamic feel.
Yes, we should always review and investigate before supporting a proposal. I think it's a good idea because it would eliminate certain protocols or bureaucracy that make it difficult to approve funds for Stemit's development.
You can see the proposals here.

I’ve only been active on Steemit for 4-5 months. At first, I thought proposals were something new, but after reading about them, I realized they are not.
I’ve developed tools to easily get stats in the form of charts and tables, focusing on contests, clubs, and learning activities. However, I’m unsure how to make it more visible to the community since I don't have a community supporting me yet. You can check out my work at SteemHub.
I considered creating a proposal, but I’m not sure if it would be accepted since I’m still not well-known. I think Steemit should foster more interaction with new developers like myself, but I’m unsure how to get the support I need.
Greetings, friend @kafio
It's true, you're relatively new to the platform, but I've seen you've done very well. The proposals are old, but after the fork, the developers stopped showing interest in submitting proposals.
I find the tools interesting; they're good for managing interaction. Excellent work!
The Steemit team always encourages interaction and opens the door to new ideas. It's up to you to demonstrate what you can do and earn the trust of the ecosystem. Sooner or later, you might have the opportunity to have your work supported.
It's not just about money , many people can use my app for the weekly report, but they haven't used it yet. Maybe they still don't know about it. A new game is ready to launch; I'm just waiting to test it here
Maybe everyone already has a support tool. Let's wait to see that game and promote support.
Is there another tool for stats?
Yes, of course, some have developed good tools.
Are they private?
Some, alejos7ven has one.

Yes I have read Proposal-89, not everything I can understand, the part that caught my attention is on two things, about Notifications and Author Details.
Notifications
I want to be honest that the notification interface does need a new touch, as I have also said that what I am experiencing is: the notification number doesn't change automatically after the notification is opened, I have to keep clicking Mark all as read to get rid of all notifications, my question is does everyone experience the same thing? or is it affected by the browser used?
Author Details
I'm curious as to what kind of details need to be displayed from the author, isn't it all visible when we open the author profile? or how does @the-gorilla mean? What about the newcomer certification status, about the gold medal that I don't know if anyone has gotten?
For the Reverse Fund, I am happy with the presence of many games affiliated with Steemit, this gives a new color of fun, Steem Retrogames and Steem Bingo provide attractiveness in terms of Steem token transactions, increase engagement between users, and will expand the marketing network to attract more people to join and or cooperate. If everything goes smoothly according to plan, it will have an impact on the higher Steem price.
Maybe this can be my way to contribute positively to the platform, by playing more games, so please support me @wakeupkitty @aneukpineung78 😁.

I totally agree with you. The notification interface needs a new touch.
If I talk about my experience, I don't have much experience on Steemit. I am an active social media user and I also consider that an auto tool of "mark all as read" should be available in Steemit notifications.
If such a tool is available, then our old and new notifications will not be mixed. This action will make it very easy for us. And we will also know whose notification we have read and whose not.
