Quando nei vari giochi la posta in palio si alza, di solito le difficoltà per i partecipanti aumentano e compiere le scelte giuste può rivelarsi all'improvviso più difficile di quanto ci si sarebbe aspettato. Non so se per uno scherzo del destino o per via della coincidenza con i pazzi finali delle stagioni agonistiche, ma anche il nostro torneo ha deciso di non sfuggire a questa regola.

Il totale e la media punti dei concorrenti si sono infatti di colpo abbassati, rendendo la giornata appena trascorsa una delle più "drammatiche" della breve storia della Italygame Cup^TM, tra salvezze sul filo di lana ed "eliminazioni" dolorose (ricordo sempre che tutti possono continuare a partecipare al gioco settimanale).

Ma le regole dello sport, e di conseguenza di un gioco basato su di esso, come questo, a volte sono crudeli e può bastare anche solo un inciampo per vanificare quanto di buono fatto in precedenza. Con quanto accade sui campi di calcio però esiste da noi una profonda differenza: se nella realtà a vincere è uno solo, qui i premiati sono tanti, ed ogni settimana esiste la possibilità di ricominciare da zero!

Se il vostro nome non è tra quelli che si giocheranno i quattro premi finali, prendetela con filosofia e rimanete nel torneo fino all'ultimo, magari dando una mano alla vostra nazione a vincere il "torneo olimpico", o puntando agli altri premi, simbolici e non, in palio e accumulando un po' di esperienza per la prossima edizione.

Paradossalmente, nella settimana in cui i nostri concorrenti hanno realizzato il minor numero di punti complessivi, non si sono registrate grosse sorprese sui campi di calcio di riferimento. Particolare difficoltà è stata riscontrata nella partita Cremonese-Spezia, capace di distribuire soltanto 3 punti e il cui risultato (Cremonese +2) non è stato indovinato da nessun partecipante.

Perché viene premiata la velocità?
Quando si tratta di pronostici sportivi, le possibilità di indovinare i risultati delle partite aumentano con l'avvicinarsi del fischio d'inizio. Paradoxically, in the week in which our competitors scored the fewest overall points, there were no major surprises on the reference football fields.
