Today, I decided to have a fruit lunch, as it was Sunday and I had my breakfast late and heavy.

I was alone at home, and maybe that was the reason I didn't feel like cooking anything.

It is my old habit to eat fruits often when I am in the field, as I am a vegetarian, because vegetarian foods are not available everywhere in many countries.

So I picked up an apple and a kiwi fruit and sat at the dining table. I wanted to drink something, so I took out a can of fruit juice and poured it in a glass.

I cut the apple and kiwi into four pieces each and finished one by one.

You can see what I prepared in 10 minutes, cutting and everything.

And then I finished the fruit juice, and finally everything was finished within 10 minutes.

There are many benefits of eating fruits, and it is said that apples and kiwis help keep doctors away. Fruits have natural sugar, and I have a sweet tooth, so after eating fruits, I feel satisfied, and I don't feel any harm in not having lunch.

Anyway, there are many benefits of eating fruits at lunch because they are easily digested, so a field worker like me doesn't feel lazy.

I don't have any disease, but fruits contain fiber, which improves bowel movement. There have been complaints about blood sugar levels in my family, so I know that fruits help in controlling diabetes.

Now on the table, apart from the empty can, there is an empty plate, fork and knife, and fruit peels on tissue paper. It took me all of twenty minutes to cut and eat these fruits.

I used my newly bought digital camera, but I was not sure of its result, so I used my Samsung Galaxy phone to capture these images. So you will find a mixture of camera and images from phone.

I understand that fruits play an important role in the body. For instance, it contains fibre which aids our bowel movement.

What I am not sure is if all fruits control diabetes. Some researchers argue that some fruits contain more sugar and fructose which can interfere with the insulin level.

I don't know which one is acceptable.

Nonetheless, I strongly believe that fruits are way better than junks. You could do us a favour by inviting us next time you want to have this sumptuous meal.

You're right about diabetes but fruits work both ways. For someone like me who is fond of sweets (or can live on fruits for being a vegetarian). Fruits used to be my lunch while in the field and nothing vegetarian was available in those places. You know some people in some countries even laughed at me when they heard a vegetarian person can survive on vegetables.

You are most welcome, just check how much would be the fare from your country to Canberra, Australia or you would be better off using that money for buying the fruits, the choice is yours.

I believe being a vegetarian is quite healthy. Next step is to find that airplane.
