Not wasting resources is important! We live in this modern world, and sometimes we take too many things for granted.

Similar to what you wrote, last summer we had a pipe with a very slight leak in it. We could not afford to call the plumber for a repair immediately, but we always used the water in the bucket (it took about two days to fill) to water the plants on the balcony, which we would have pulled water from the tap for, anyway. Instead, no waste!
