But to keep system working requires skilled technicians who can perform its installation and repair work. I work as a technician in air conditioning pipe welding brazing which requires a special skill and experience. Today I will tell you about my work and how it is important.

What is air conditioning pipe welding?

Air conditioning systems use copper pipes, which carry Freon gas. Brazing, a type of welding process, is used to make the connection of these pipes reliable. Brazing joins two metal pipes with filler metal melted at high temperature, creating a very strong and permanent connection.

1. Preparedness and safety measures

First of all necessary tools and materials have to be collected.

Wear goggles gloves appropriate clothing for safety.

Clean the pipe joints so that there is no dust and oxidation.

1. Heat application and brazing

Apply heat with a gas torch and when the copper pipe is hot enough apply filler metal.

Make sure that the pipe connection is perfect.

The temperature is controlled throughout the operation, so that the pipes or connections are not damaged.

1. Testing and Confirmation

Allow the pipe to cool after brazing is completed.

After that we make sure that there are no leaks or defects by pressure test.

If everything is fine, proceed to the next step.

Challenges and solutions to this task

One of the biggest challenges in my job is working at high temperatures. It tests skill and endurance. Besides, it is important to leakproof the pipes, as a slight mistake can disrupt the performance of the entire AC system.

To meet this challenge I always work step by step and perform the necessary tests to ensure that the connection is perfect.
