The Diary Game 30-11-2024 Lanjut Daftar PPPK Tahap II
Today was a very exciting and challenging day. I taught at school as usual, but this time there was something different. I was given the opportunity to teach students how to assemble a computer! As someone who loves technology and computers, this felt like a golden opportunity to share my knowledge.
Early in the morning, I had prepared all the necessary components. There was a motherboard, CPU, RAM, hard disk, casing, and cables that had to be arranged neatly. Although everything looked messy at first, I knew that with a little explanation, they would definitely be able to understand how to put it together.
I started by explaining the basics of computers: what is a motherboard, processor, memory, and others. At first, some students looked confused, but I tried to explain in simple language. After that, I showed them how to put the components together into a usable unit.
It was amazing to see them starting to understand and get excited. Some started installing RAM, while others carefully installed the processor onto the motherboard. I went around, giving guidance to each group. It turned out that many students already understood enough, and they only needed a little direction to complete the more complicated steps.
In the middle of the activity, there was a moment that invited laughter. A student, Fajar, had incorrectly connected the power cable to the motherboard. After trying it several times and the computer would not turn on, he said seriously, "Maybe this computer needs a break, Sir." Everyone immediately laughed.
But, after that, we all managed to assemble the computers one by one. Some looked a little hesitant at first, but when their first computer turned on successfully, cheers filled the room. I felt proud, not only because they were able to complete the task, but also because they found satisfaction in the process. It felt like they had gained a new skill that they could be proud of.
When the session was over, I felt very satisfied. Teaching is not only about delivering material, but also about seeing students grow and find their interests. Maybe some of them will not become computer technicians in the future, but they will take this experience as a memory, and maybe also as a useful skill later.
I went home with a happy heart, knowing that today I not only taught them about technology, but also gave them something more important—the confidence to try new things and not be afraid to fail.
After a day of teaching, I continued the unfinished work, which was uploading the PPPK selection files for stage 2. This work seemed endless, but I knew this was an important step for my future career. Luckily, @Juanda95 also helped. The two of us sat in the computer room and started rechecking all the files that had to be uploaded.
There were several documents that needed to be corrected, and I had to make sure they were done carefully. @Juanda95 was very thorough and patient enough when helping to check the data that had to be uploaded. Sometimes we exchanged ideas, making sure everything was in accordance with the requested requirements. This process was quite time-consuming, but thanks to our cooperation, everything was finally finished.
After all the files were collected and uploaded smoothly, @Zulbahri invited us to take a short break. "Come on, have some coffee," he said, showing two cups of coffee that were ready on the table. We then walked to the nearest coffee shop. We sat down and had a light chat after a busy day. Sometimes, chats like this make the mood lighter. We talked about various things, from work, teaching experience, to future plans.
Zulbahri can always make the conversation lively with funny stories and his unique perspective. We laughed out loud, taking a break from the piling tasks for a moment. Our chat seemed to bring new energy after a day of focusing on work.
Drinking coffee while chatting with friends like this really made me feel fresher and ready to face the next challenge. It felt like, even though my body was tired, my heart felt light after sharing laughter.
Now, I'm back home feeling better. The PPPK files have been uploaded, the coffee has been drunk, and I'm ready to face the next days. Can't wait to continue this journey, both in teaching, and in achieving my career goals.
See you tomorrow!
