The Tron Fan Club is a specialized community working on some specific topics. As a moderator of the community, I am regularly sharing several tutorials to help newbies. In this series of tutorials, I am trying to share the fundamental topics of Steem blockchain.

I am an active Steem user. This is my 31st tutorial. In this 5 tutorial group I shall share Abuse related topic. In the 1st part (31st Tutorial) I will share about spamming and its impact on steemit. Spamming is harmful to any online platform. Steemit is no exception. Spamming creates a bad experience for users. It also reduces the value of genuine content. So it is very harmful for any of the platform. Let us learn about spamming on Steemit and how to avoid it.

What is Spamming?

Spamming means sharing content that is irrelevant, repetitive, or harmful. On Steemit, this includes:

• Posting copied articles without permission.
• Sharing low-quality content repeatedly.
• Using others' images without credit.
• Flooding comments with links or irrelevant text.

Spamming violates Steemit’s rules. It can lead to account penalties. In severe cases, accounts may get blacklisted and downvoted.

Types of Spam on Steemit

Here are common types of spamming:

1. Content Spam:

   • Posting the same article multiple times.
   • Writing low-effort posts like "Hello," "Good morning," or random emojis.
   • Rewriting copyrighted material without adding value.

2. Image Spam:

   • Using pictures without credit or permission.
   • Uploading random images without context.

3. Tag Spam:

   • Using irrelevant tags to gain visibility.
   • Adding popular tags that do not match your content.

4. Comment Spam:

   • Copy-pasting the same comment on many posts.
   • Adding irrelevant links in comments.

Effects of Spamming

Spamming has several negative effects:

• It lowers content quality.
• Genuine users lose interest.
• The platform’s reputation is damaged.
• Spammers lose trust and rewards.

How can we Avoid Spamming

To keep Steemit clean, follow these tips:

1. Create original content. Avoid copying others' work.
2. Use proper tags that match your topic.
3. Credit images and artwork used in posts.
4. Engage with the community through meaningful comments.

Spamming harms everyone on Steemit. It reduces the rewards for genuine users. Always focus on quality over quantity. Share useful and original content in this platform for the betterment of yourself and the overall platform. This helps both you and the Steemit community grow.
