I visited DUET second campus (Gazipur)

Duet is the only higher education institution for diploma engineers in Bangladesh. I shared the post about Duet Main Campus with you a few days ago. Click here to enjoy the previous post on steem atlas. Today I will share with you the second campus of DUET. The distance between Duet Main Campus and the second campus is five minutes. It is located along Majhirkhola Road. This road is now also known as Duet Second Campus Road. Anyway, stay with me to enjoy, I'll be taking us inside Duet's second campus very soon. It takes three minutes to walk from my house to Duet Second Campus. That means I live between the main campus and the second campus. Let's go inside.

I first shared with you a view from outside the campus. The walls of the campus were adorned with stone carvings. The walls of the entire campus are decorated with small stones. It has increased the beauty of the wall many times over. If you look closely, you will see that the stones are small but their shapes are different. These are attached to the wall with cement. It was a long process. Anyway, I then asked the doorman for permission to enter. Since it is a new construction, it is still quite difficult to monitor.
Anyway, I took permission from the doorman and entered inside. I have enough time on my hands and I want to explore slowly. Come forward with me. As I move forward a little, I notice a residential building.

The residential buildings are located near two gates because most students stay there. So that they can get out very quickly if they need to. Each of the residential halls has six floors. Here students can avail the benefits of free accommodation. Students on the first campus are free to use these residential buildings, as there is a shortage of residential halls on the main campus.Anyway, one of the residential halls here is called Bijoy 24 Hall.

Bijoy 24 is the story behind the name, a victory against tyranny. On August 5, 2024, the authoritarian government fell through a student movement. On that occasion, this hall was renamed "bijoy 24 Hall." Let's move forward with me. A little further on, the notable academic building is visible. There are two large academic buildings here.

	Mechanical Department Building.
	Civil Department Building.

Both of the buildings mentioned above are academic buildings. The two buildings are seven stories and six stories high, respectively. The red building you see for the Mechanical Department is a seven-story building. There is a large underground parking lot under the building. The underground is only for car parking, and not everyone is allowed to enter.

The blue building you are looking at is for the Civil Department. Civil Department students complete their academic activities here. Every student here is free to pursue their own educational activities. Both of the buildings mentioned have large storage rooms for lab classes. Classes from other departments are also held here for a temporary period. But it is very limited.

Here, the academic building of the Mechanical Department and the academic building of the Civil Department are located opposite each other. There is a wide corridor between the two buildings. Basically, it can be called an empty space, where teachers and students feel more comfortable in their movements. This space in the middle of the mentioned building has been completely plastered. There is no chance of it getting muddy here, as now that the two buildings have started operations, the space is quite essential.
You keep walking with me. I noticed the campus's safe water supply system. This is a very beneficial establishment for students. Look at the two pictures below. These are the necessary facilities for the campus.

Look at the two pictures mentioned above, in the first picture you will see a water tank. It is built behind a residential building. Safe water is provided for students from the water tank. A large tank has been built on top of a tall tower. It can hold 15,000 liters of water as a reserve. The provision of clean drinking water for students ensures their biological safety. Notice the next picture attached at the same time.

Two pipelines have been installed here to prevent fire accidents. This pipeline is only for the time being if there is a fire accident anywhere on campus. Then the fire will be prevented from the water stored in reserve here. This is a very important element for the campus. It is the responsibility of the authorities to ensure safety to avoid such a tragedy. However, the authorities are committed to meeting the safety and ancillary needs of students.

Here I noticed pink flowers. I don't know the name of the flower mentioned, but I found its scientific name. The scientific name of the flower is "Bougainvillea spectabilis" The flowers were adorning the sidewalk inside the campus. I captured its image. At the same time, there are sidewalks along the campus walls. This sidewalk has helped me a lot in exploring the campus. I really enjoyed the views around the campus. Every structure on the campus was shining brightly in the afternoon sun. There was a joyful atmosphere and good times.
