My visit to this spiritual haven during yesterday's Easter Retreat holds memories that are retained in me. As part of my contribution to this project, I find it fit to mark this place, Assemblies of God, aka itiam, on the map.

To get to this place from the Akwa Ibom International Airport, it will cost you less than N5000 on charter, but if you should move from the popular Ibom Plaza, just beside the UBA bank, where you have a park for conveying people across Uyo, tell the driver you are stopping at IBB. When you alight, board a keke tricycle, telling them to take you to Aka Itiam. On very busy days like this, all drivers know that all routes lead to places like this, so they are always prepared. They will take you down the road; within here, there are more streets, and they have many potholes.

Assemblies of God, aka Itiam, The campground has diverse facilities; aside from being a campground, it is also a Bible school for called ministers or anyone who seeks to know the in-depth doctrine of this place. One of the most outstanding features of this place is the diverse structures; everything that could be found in a holy ground is here. On occasions like this, royal rangers are on standby to direct people to the right places to park their cars, etc.

The first structure is a new building which children dominate on camp like this; it is a very large building, a duplex built in a way that those on top can see all that is happening below. This building, though it looks complete on the outside, has some internal features that are still undergoing construction; according to the visible architectural design, we can see different toilet sections and rooms which we are sure will be completed soon.

Hostels

The next building is the hostel. I didn't board at this campground this year, but I have seen changes here. The building painting is glimmering. It is a 3-storey building. Looking closely, you wouldn't find waste pipes in front, but they are all behind, meaning the toilets and bathrooms are behind. They have a gate which doesn't allow perambulating.

Pastor's Lounge

The Assemblies of God, a denominational church, has a strong presence in Nigeria. This place started as a small gathering of saints, but now it has grown so much to accumulate this vast area of land. Like I said earlier, this is also a school and also a church; the Evangel nursery/primary and secondary school is here, as well as the Bible college. This can explain how vast this place is.

This camp has two gates as an entrance; one is normally shut when there is no district or general council event, but on occasions like this, the two are open – one for entry and the other for exit – to avoid vehicle theft.

Where you have this congregation is the open field; a school should normally have a field, and this place was not an exception. The field has the normal length and width as a standard football field.

I would love @mueeinislam, @valentinaalvarez and @suborna03 to join in this contest via the link

Brother, your Easter retreat experience and description of the Assemblies of God campground were very inspiring. You have captured the beauty and significance of the spiritual place, making it clear that it is not just a church, but also a Bible school, a community center, and a place of learning. The design of the new building, the improved dormitory, and the lounge for the pastors all reflect the extraordinary structure and management of this place. In addition, the two entrances and the open field facilities ensure the efficiency and safety of the activities.

Brother, reading the pictures and detailed description of your trip made me feel like I was part of that moment. The initiative to mark such a beautiful place on the map is truly commendable. I hope you will share more stories of spiritual places and experiences with us in the future. Best wishes to you!

Thank you so much for stopping by, i will bw sharing locations ofnmore places soon
