My Faulty EPSON Projector
The appliance I am presenting to the technician is an EPSON Projector. I used it as an output device to display images and videos during presentations. It works by shouting out a strong beam of light through a transparent image such that the image is reflected/projected out to a larger wall or screen. It was very useful when addressing a relatively large audience.

Suspected Fault:
I had suspected a power problem. When attempting to power it on, the projector acts dead; it only makes clicking sounds in the power unit.
I was hoping to find a solution to the problem, but now it has spent more than a year collecting dust in the store.
I just hope its situation remains the same after spending 18 months in the store.
My major concern is what rats and cockroaches could do to the cables inside the device after sitting idle for more than a year.
The only way to confirm the state of the internal components in the projector is to open into the device. The first step was to clean it up. So I used a cloth to clean the dust that had settled on the device.
Device after cleaning
After cleaning the device, I used a screwdriver 🪛 to unscrew and disassemble the projector's cover. Unscrewing it was fairly easy using a Phillips head screwdriver.
It was a great relief when I got inside the device, the interior was clean beyond my expectations and the cables inside were all in good condition, none of the cables had been munched by a rat or cockroach.
I had to unclip and disconnect these flexible flat cables (FFC) and another connector to free the top cover.

Mi proyector EPSON defectuoso
El dispositivo que le estoy presentando al técnico es un proyector EPSON. Lo usé como dispositivo de salida para mostrar imágenes y videos durante las presentaciones. Funciona proyectando un haz de luz potente a través de una imagen transparente, de modo que esta se refleja en una pared o pantalla más grande. Fue muy útil al dirigirme a un público relativamente grande.

Sospecha de fallo:
Sospeché que había un problema de alimentación. Al intentar encenderlo, el proyector parece estar muerto; solo emite un clic en la fuente de alimentación.
Esperaba encontrar una solución al problema, pero lleva más de un año acumulando polvo en la tienda.
Espero que siga igual después de 18 meses en la tienda.
Mi principal preocupación es lo que las ratas y las cucarachas podrían hacerle a los cables del dispositivo después de estar inactivo durante más de un año.
La única manera de confirmar el estado de los componentes internos del proyector es abrirlo. El primer paso fue limpiarlo. Usé un paño para limpiar el polvo acumulado.

Después de limpiar el dispositivo, usé un destornillador para desatornillar y desmontar la cubierta del proyector. Desatornillarla fue bastante fácil con un destornillador Phillips.
Fue un gran alivio al entrar en el dispositivo. El interior estaba impecablemente limpio, superando mis expectativas, y todos los cables estaban en buen estado; ninguno había sido roído por una rata o una cucaracha.
Tuve que soltar y desconectar estos cables planos flexibles (FFC) y otro conector para liberar la cubierta superior.

Wow, such an important something which the cost of buying it now cannot be compared to when you bought it. I just hope as the electrician is checking it the fault remains the same. If not I will be angry that you left it unprotected for some months without repairing the little fault or keeping it well .
