SLC22 -W4 Baking Course: Semi-Sweet Bread with Savory Filling.

I have completed the homework task for SLC22 -W4 Baking Course. I'm really glad to have the opportunity to try out these baking recipes confidently. I thank our dear two teachers @yenny47 and @katherine012 for all the efforts they made to make us understand the different baking techniques. I'm grateful for this lovely opportunity to learn and expand my knowledge of baking.
🥐 Why can't yeast and salt be added together when preparing dough for bread? Explain your answer (1pt)
Salt can dehydrate the yeast, killing it and making it less effective. Therefore, it's always better to mix salt with other ingredients like flour before adding it to yeast. To achieve proper fermentation in yeast, it is recommended to mix with sugar because it helps the yeast ferment faster while salt slows down the fermentation process.
🥐 Make a semi-sweet bread with a SALTY filling, you can be guided by the recipe given in the class, or you can make one of your choice, but the dough must be semi-sweet with the SALTY filling. (Ham, cheese, chicken, meat, etc.) Document the step by step, and accompany a poster with date, user and the label of the bakerys22w4 class (4pts)
Chicken and Cheese-filled Buns
Ingredients for the dough:
2 cups of all-purpose flour
1 egg
1 tbsp of butter
1/2 tsp of salt
1 tsp of yeast
180 ml of warm milk
2 tbsp of sugar
Ingredients for the filling:
4 medium-sized chopped onions
200 grams of boneless chicken (shredded into small pieces)
2 tbsp of oil
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tbsp of oyster sauce
Lastly 1 egg yolk for eggwash and sesame seeds for topping
Step 01 - I first left the yeast to ferment.
Step 02 - Adding the yeast mixture, I started making the dough mixing with other ingredients (flour+butter +salt+egg)
Step 03 - Using the mixer, I mixed all the ingredients until it formed a soft dough that was not sticky.
Step 04 - After resting the dough for two hours, I cut the dough into equal parts and round them into a ball.
Step 05 - While the dough was kept aside, I started preparing the filling. For that, I gathered all the ingredients and cooked them until brown on medium heat. And lastly, I added the cheese and left it to cool.
Step 06 - Using my hands, I flattened the dough on a clean surface and filled the chicken filling. Then I sealed the seams to make sure that the filling wouldn't come out when baking.
Step 07 - Lastly, I egg-washed the buns and topped them with some sesame seeds to enhance the look of my semi-sweet bread.
Step 08 - I baked them in a preheated oven at 240C for 30 mins. Here is the final outcome of my chicken cheese-filled buns. I was happy to see how perfectly the buns turned out, it was soft and tasted so good!

I trust the most consumed salty-filled breads are Fish buns and Seeni Sambol buns. It can be easily found in any bakery shop, restaurant, or cafe. We love enjoying these buns on any occasion for a quick hunger. It does not cost more than Rs 100. Usually, we accompany it with a strong milk tea. It's the best combination that satisfies our hunger instantly. A salty filling bread and a strong milk tea are like an energy booster.
🥐If you had the opportunity to invite a foreign user to eat a stuffed bread, who would you choose and what bread would you invite him? The user must be a foreigner and just tagging will be fine, if you use a photo of him you remember to give him the credit of the image(3pts)
My go-to favorite snack is the irresistible deviled chicken bun. It has the perfect combination of flavors wrapped up in a soft, delicious bun. Just thinking about its delicious taste makes me wish I had one right now! I would like to invite my friend @meehu from Pakistan to try out this delightful experience. These buns are convenient to find in any local bakery. I hope we will be able to meet someday for a delicious hangout to enjoy these unique treats in Sri Lanka.
Through this baking course, I have learned to bake confidently at home learning the right recipes and methods. Hola mi querida amiga te cuento que cuando ví tus panes en la foto se me hizo agua la boca.
Luego empecé a leer la receta y me encantó lo fácil y sencillo que es preparar los panes rellenos con queso y pollo aliñado.
En mi país los panes rellenos con pescado no son muy comunes a diferencia que en el tuyo sí, aquí nos gusta solo con pollo carne o queso y los que son con mermelada dulce.

Yes, I believe it is because we are an island. We are used to enjoying our delightful fish buns, usually made by adding tuna or salmon.

Quedaron muy bonitos sus panes, me gusta mucho el toque se sésamo, el color y por supuesto el relleno.
La fotografía donde se aprecia el relleno permite ver lo tierno que es ese pan.
