Recipe of the Day, Week No: 51: Peas with potatoes rice

Hello Everyone!!
I hope you all are good and doing well. Peas come in winter .Nowadays pea are available widely at low price. Peas are mostly liked by kids so in winter i make different recipes with this vegetable. Actually peas are not vegetable they belong to legume family. Peas are very nutritious, it provides protein, fiber ,sodium, potassium vitamin C and B12 and other.
There are many varieties of recipes that can be made by peas like pea rice, with chicken or beef curry, in salad, with mixed vegetable ,fried Peas, peas kabab, peas fritter etc. In all form its delicious. It takes less time to cook so when you are busy or have less time for cooking, peas are good option. In my childhood my mother boild peas and keep it a side ,we all take it as munching snack. I think it was best snack of my life.
Today I'm sharing peas with potatoes rice. A simple, quick and delicious recipe.
Let's move towards the recipe ;

Clove,Cinnamon, blackpepper | 3-4 | ![]() |
Making :
- Take some oil in a pan, add cinnamon, Clove, aniseed, Cuminseeds in a pan fry it for some time , its aroma will starts . Add ginger garlic paste and sotey it for 1-2 minutes. Add green chillies, salt , coriander powder and tomatoes in pan and cook it until tomatoes soften.

- When tomatoes and all spices cooked well add peas and potatoes in the pan. Add some water to cook potatoes and peas. Meanwhile wash rice and soak it inwater for 20 min . When peas and potatoes became soft add soaked rice in it and add water to cook rice. Cover the lid of pan and cook rice on very low flame until rice get cooked.

- Now peas and potatoes rice are ready to eat. You can served it with salad and mint sauce.
