Assalamu Alaikum, how are you friends? I hope everyone is well. Alhamdulillah I am also well. Respected @suboohi mam, Steemit Learning Challenge Season 23 Week#3. This week of the competition has brought SLC-S23//Week#3-Exploring The Global Cuisine (Chinese Cuisine) competition.

1-Have you tried any Chinese food? Which Chinese food is available at your local places?

Yes, I have tried several Chinese foods. I have tried making several Chinese foods at home. Such as: Fried Rice, Chow Mein, Spring Roll, Hot and Sour Soup. Chinese foods are as attractive to look at as they are very tasty to eat. Chinese food is a popular food all over the world. I live in Rajshahi division of Bangladesh. There are several famous Chinese restaurants in my area. Among them, the famous and advanced are Nanking Chinese Restaurant, Clove Chinese, and Master Chef Chinese Restaurant. The most popular Chinese dishes of these Chinese restaurants in my area are: Fried Rice, Chow Mein, Spice Fried Chicken, Spring Roll, Hot and Sour Soup, etc. These popular restaurants are famous for Chinese food. The spread of Chinese food in my area is becoming more popular day by day for the incomparable taste of the dishes.

Today I will share the Kung Pao chicken recipe with you this week of the SLC-S23//Week#3 competition. Today I will be introduced to another new experience. I am very excited to present this Chinese recipe to you.

Kung Pao Chicken

Kung Pao Chicken is a popular Chinese dish. Although Kung Pao Chicken is a Chinese dish, many restaurants and food lovers have adapted this dish to suit local tastes. Kung Pao Chicken has gained worldwide fame.

Ingredients:

  • Boneless chicken meat 300 grams
  • Roasted Peanuts 2 tablespoons
  • Red capsicum 1/2 cup
  • Yellow capsicum 1/2 cup
  • Onion cubes 1/2 cup
  • Onion paste 1 tablespoon
  • Black pepper powder 2 teaspoons
  • Cornflower 4 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce
  • Garlic cloves 15
  • Sugar powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • Tomato chili sauce
  • Cooking oil

√ Step 1:

To make Kung Pao Chicken, I cut the boneless chicken meat into small pieces using a knife.

√ Step 2:

I washed and cleaned the meat and took it to a bowl to marinate. For the marinade, I first added 1 teaspoon of chili powder, 1 teaspoon of ginger garlic paste, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, salt as needed, and 2 tablespoons of cornflour. After adding all the ingredients, I stirred it very well with a spoon and left it to rest for 25 minutes.

√ Step 3:

After 25 minutes of marinating the meat, I went to the stove to cook the King Pao Chicken. I put a pan on the stove and heated 1 tablespoon of oil. I added four dried chilies and some roasted almonds to the hot oil. I reduced the heat of the stove and fried the dried chilies and roasted almonds for 2-3 minutes.

√ Step 4:

I added 10-15 garlic cloves to the same oil and fried them for 20 seconds. If you boil the garlic cloves, it will add a very nice aroma. Then I added the marinated meat pieces. I will fry the meat pieces on medium heat until brown.

√ Step 5:

Once the meat pieces are fried, I will cut one onion into large pieces, add some more yellow capsicum, and red capsicum pieces. I will cut four green chilies into large pieces and add them to the meat. Then I will stir fry all the ingredients for 2-3 minutes.

√ Step 6:

While frying all the ingredients with the meat on the stove, I will make a special sauce for the King Pao Chicken recipe. For this, in a bowl, I will make a thin sauce by adding 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1.5 tablespoons of water, 1 tablespoon of red chili sauce, 1/2 teaspoon of sugar powder, 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper powder, 1 tablespoon of cornflour, and 1/4 cup of water.

√ Step 7:

On the other hand, the capsicums are fried. Capsicums cannot be fried too much and become soft. At this stage, I added the special sauce I made for King Pao Chicken to the cooking. Then I mixed everything well again.

√ Step 8:

After mixing it well with the sauce, I added the previously fried dried chilies and roasted almonds. After mixing everything very well, I spread the spring onions on top. Then I mixed everything and the Kung Pao Chicken is ready.

3- What is your favorite family recipe from Chinese cuisine that you make with fusion of your local species?

A huge celebration of Chinese food. Among this huge gathering, my family's favorite Chinese dishes are spring vegetable rolls and chicken chow mein. I don't have to bother much to make them. I make them with various ingredients that I have at hand. To make spring vegetable rolls, I choose vegetables that cook in a very short time. I love eating vegetables. It is very important to include vegetables in our daily diet. Vegetables eliminate the deficiency of various vitamins in our body and increase our immunity. But my children don't like to eat vegetables, so when I make spring vegetable rolls, they eat them with fun.

Everyone in my family loves to eat chicken. Chicken satisfies the need for meat and makes the body active. Chicken fried rice is a favorite of all my family. A Chinese dish. I prepare chicken fried rice very simply with various local spices that I have at hand. Food keeps our body healthy and improves our mood.

4- Any difficulty that you faced during making the recipe?

No, I did not face any difficulty while making my recipe. @suboohi mam has presented the Chinese menus of the Chinese cuisine course very beautifully in her lesson. I read and mastered the lesson given by her very well before going to the main recipe. She has discussed Chinese cuisine in her lesson in detail, which will make things easy for a new student. I have learned another new Chinese recipe in the lesson of the Chinese cuisine course. I have come to know many unknown things about Chinese cuisine. I hope I will be able to learn some more new recipes in the Global Cuisine course.
