Delicious and nutritious Woodapple juice..

It may not look like a very good looking fruit, but it is packed with essential nutrients that act as a tonic for the heart and brain. Also known as bale or wood apple (botanical name Aegle Marmelos).
It is an important medicinal plant with several uses in traditional medicine of Sri Lanka and all parts of the tree like root, leaves, stem, fruit, seeds are useful in treating various diseases.
So now let's see how to make this delicious drink.
INGREDIENTS
- Woodapple 100g
- Sugar 2 tsp
- Water cup 02
- Coconut milk 1/2 cup
- Salt 1/2 tsp
METHOD
First, take the fruit and hit it around with something hard like a rolling pin.
Then open the hard shell after cracking the outer hard shell and you will see a light brown pulp.
Then remove the soft pulp with a spoon and put it in a bowl and mash the pulp.Mash it very well.
Next take the mashed mixture using a strainer. Filter by stirring with a spoon to filter well.
While straining, do not forget to add water in portions. Overall, while straining, add ½ to 1 cup of water. Then the fine pulp is extracted and the seeds and coarse inedible fibers remain.
Then add sugar, salt and coconut milk to this pulp and dissolve it well.
