Recipe of the Day, Week No: 56: (Porridge Potatoes with Beef).

Steem greetings to all the amazing chefs on the Steemit platform and welcome to my blog as I share my recipe for the day (Porridge Potatoes with beef).

This was prepared at the request of my kids as it's one of their favourite foods. My kids do not like eating meat or fish and I try as much as possible to see that they see the need for meat or fish for their healthy growth.

Ingredients used for the Meal
  • Potatoes
  • Beef
  • Tomatoes
  • Onion
  • Basil
  • Celery
  • Spring onion
  • Garlic
  • White pepper
  • Green bell pepper
  • Carrot
  • Green beans
  • Vegetable Oil
Process of Preparing the Meal

I prepared all my ingredients together and washed them with clean water. I often used salt to disinfect when washing my ingredients to ensure they are properly safe to consume.

I used my chopping board to chop the onions and slice the tomatoes and all the other ingredients. All the spices were arranged in a tray ready to be used. I was so generous with my veggies because I love eating more veggies than beef.

I went ahead and cut the beef into stripes so that it would be easy for my kids to eat. Then I cut in some onion to boil the striped beef. I season the beef with salt and seasoning cube.

Then I peeled the potatoes properly washed them and kept them aside.

I placed my pot on medium heat and poured in a bit of vegetable oil. Then I added in my onion and some chopped garlic and fry for about 30 seconds. This will give a good flavour combination for the meal.

I proceeded to add the boiled beef stripes and tomatoes to fry and reduce the sour taste from the tomatoes. I added all the other sliced ingredients and fried them together for about 1 minute.

During the frying process of the ingredients do not over-fry them, you need them moist since you gonna boiled again after adding the potatoes. I added the peeled potatoes to the already-fried spices. I added some seasoning cubes and salt to taste. I stirred it gently for the ingredients to mix well added some water closed the pot and allowed it to boil at medium heat for 20 minutes.

After allowing it to boil for about 20 minutes, the ingredients seamer well into the potatoes opened the pot and stirred a bit and my food was ready to be served.

Guys, this meal was delicious and the veggies in it just make it so mouth-watering. We enjoyed every bit of the meal and a glass of some cold fruit juice will make justice in your stomach he he he.
