Food ideas for a wedding anniversary party
Hey friend, an awesome contest you have here. I jumped right in the moment I was the topic. For starters, I love weddings. Good food and drinks all around and gorgeous looking people.
Well, I have been invited for this kind of party before where we all had to bring something. I think is kinda cool and be of that you need to work with you budget. Well here my little suggestion.
What types of meals can be served at an event of this kind?
This is mostly a choice for the hosts and d
The type of food they may choose would depend on the choices and maybe the type of persons they are expecting.
Most persons would choose continental dishes and foods that are generally acceptable for open events. There may be a touch of traditional recipes and even desserts.
Over here in my place there’s no occasion you go to that you won’t see rice served. We basically do rice but in different forms.
You would see jollof rice, coconut rice, fried rice, white rice and chicken sauce but mostly jollof rice as the chief.
There would be complimentary foods like fried plantain, moi-moi, coleslaw (always present) and different types of proteins like fishes, chicken, beef and cow skin. And they also mix a little of swallow and soup for the traditionalists who don’t like continental dishes.
The finger foods come in as appetizers before the serving of the main dishes.
What would be your choices of food to bring to this wedding anniversary party for 20 people?
Talk of my choice of food, I would go with something that’s generally accepted. Example is Rice. Rice is a readily available food for weddings. I can consider making jollof rice with fried chicken or roasted chicken and coleslaw. Or I can make fried rice or any form of party rice that’s generally acceptable. Since the people are not much, this shouldn’t be too difficult to handle and everyone can partake from it.
I can also consider making finger foods that would be nice. The finger foods can take the place of the rice for example making something like samosa, spring rolls, puff puff which are like small buns or doughnuts. This can go along with small chunks of fried chicken all packed into small packs with tooth picks along with it for easy picking and eating.
Also small packs of finger foods like fried chips or French fries and chicken with ketchup is also very nice. Depending on my budget.
This option of everyone collaborating with the food expenses is a trend in today's sharing parties, do you feel committed to this trend?
I love sharing parties and it’s very ok with me. It helps to alleviate the burden of having to plan for all the guests single-handedly by the host.
With the high cost of living, it wouldn’t be a bad idea hosting a sharing party. I’ve hosted one before and I asked my invitees to bring along what they could afford.
Everyone brought something along and at the. end of the day, there was plenty to eat and varieties to choose from. It was so fun and we didn’t have to break the bank to have a good time. It’s all about understanding and having supportive people around you.
What type of food is the cheapest for a party?
From the list of food I’ve mentioned above, the cheapest amongst them is jollof rice. Because of the pattern of cooking and the mixing of the ingredients in it, it’s more economical than cooking the other types of rice and that’s why most hosts for occasions would go for it.
I ask @adrianagl, @marito74, @naty16 to share their thoughts on this.
Thank you @adriancabrera for the support 🙏🌝🤗
Saludos amiga!!!
Un compartir donde todos llevan algo para aminorar los costos, y que gran eleccion has hecho con una comida como el arroz, ya que podemos comerlo de diferentes formas además que un poco frio también es muy delicioso.
Gracias por ser parte de este concurso.
Bendiciones.
Gracias 🙏
