Battle of Flavors: Hot Foods vs. Cold Foods
Hello members of this community, this is my contribution to the above topic titled 'Hot Food vs Cold Food.' Through this contest, I hope everyone is going to share different ideas based on their understanding.
I prefer hot meals because they help the food digest faster than cold meals. Although cold food can be quickly eaten when we are going to the office, school, and so on. Hot food has more nutritional benefits because it promotes our intestine to be in good shape.
Hot meals taste good, and you are going to enjoy the aroma because it is ready-made food that doesn't lose taste to the extent that it will give you better satisfaction. Hot food is very easy to break down without being hard to pass through our digestive system. Many people prefer hot food; as you eat slowly, it gives a signal to your brain. That's why they crave more hot food during cold weather.
We have different varieties of dishes in Africa, but it is based on tribes and individuals differences. Hot foods like pap or ogi, hot tea, and bread are taken for breakfast during cold weather to warm the body and be able to withstand the temperatures.
Cold foods like rice and beans are also good. I eat this food when I come back from work. Sometimes, I rush out to the office with the aim of eating the food when I return. Cold food sometimes doesn't lose its taste, especially if kept in a better place. Cold ice cream and yogurt are amazing during hot weather, helping us to enjoy ourselves throughout the day.
The traditional dishes served cold in my own tribe are white rice with stew, beans, jollof rice, and fried rice. These dishes are typically served on different occasions and sometimes at home where my mother uses electricity to cook the food before the lights go off. By the time they want to serve the family, the food would be cold. Tapioca is also served cold and tastes nice when milk and sugar are added. The aforementioned dishes may spoil if not served in time. So it's necessary to eat it at the right time to avoid wastage.
The dishes that are served hot are amala made with yam flour, bread 🍞, tea, and Pap known as ogi in my hometown. These foods have nutritional benefits; once you consume them, you will sweat and urinate so that waste products can be flushed out. That's why it's recommended for those with malaria to drink pap made with guinea corn because it helps them have more energy.
" Hot food is fatter than cold food"
This problem we are talking about affects people worldwide. Hot food is far better than cold food because it helps you to digest food effectively. It would be better to add a hot or warm dish with a cold salad 🥗 to enjoy the flavors and reduce the risk of obesity.
I would like to invite @mdkamran99, @ripon0630 and @ridwant to come and participate in this contest.
