Draw Loquat Fruit

Draw Loquat Fruit is a fruit that originated from China, grows as a shrub and quite loved by any sweet lover. In Europe we do not see it so often and many European may even have never tasted it but when compare the tastes they remind apricot or pear, quite juicy.
Also it is popular for making jams and could be eaten throughout the year.

When I was looking for the materials what to use in order to draw I thought I simply use gouache paints as it is easy you can use it with water or without in you want more vibrant colours.

When I was looking at the picture of this fruit I also thought that it is the same colour like a pear and the same shape.
So let’s start with what we have for drawing:

  • block note with paper that can be used for any type of paints

  • gouache paints in tubes

  • couple of brushes

  • for sketch I used pencil

Started with yellow and red colours, also diluting with some water.

Then all three fruits filled with colours.

Now a little bit of brown colour just to stress the area of dark or there where we have more shadows.

The final stage is just to give a bit of texture, with gouache it is possible as it works like oil paints, it is opaque. THta is why if something went wrong anyone can easily correct it. I have added some shadows and also a surface so that the fruits appear on table and not in the air. Hope you like my painting.

I am inviting following users for the contest: @seharsharif, @kinkyamiee, @hisgeneral

Thank you :)

You are a true artist and through your painting you have proved it very clearly. I'm stunned to see your talent. I never paint with the accessories that you used for making this painting. The final result is very alluring. Best of luck.
