First sign of Spring: daffodils

 

Every day it is coming closer to Spring, we notice that the days are longer and during the day the temperature is higher than usually but also it is warmer because of much and strong sun.

I think the plants are also very sensitive to this change and as always we see a certain order of plants that appear in our garden and just on fields. Everything normally starts with snowdrops but after short time we see more and different colours.

My favourite flower is daffodils, I like the fact that they are so bright and due to that colour that is usually yellow, during sunny days it looks like sun is in the sky but also on ground. Especially if we are in park and see wild daffodils they they are just one colour and usually many flower plants are very close together, like a big family.

For me daffodils also always associate with school time because we always loved to collect those flowers either on field next to our school or in school garden where often we plant them ourselves for our parents in Spring.

I do not know if you ever had them at home and kept for few days, wild daffodils have very strong and not really nice smell. Those from shop they do not have much smell that is why if you want nice flowers for home just buy in shop.

Now we have mid March and it is time when we daffodils are everywhere and it is definitely end of Winter and my favourite season Spring.
