Rohan fell asleep early in the night after watching a crime serial on TV. While sleeping, he dream that he was giving an interview on live TV. And when he was asked which profession he would like to choose and why, he said that doing and watching crime scene investigation is his favourite job, so he wants to choose it.

He further said that as an investigation team head, when I reach the scene of crime for the first time, the first thing I will do is instruct all my team members to put a ribbon around the scene of crime and declare the crime scene as a protected area.

That is, any person is prohibited from going beyond that ribbon. On reaching a crime scene, I will first get the photographs and samples of every evidence of the crime scene collected under my direction. I will order to keep all the samples safe. I will keep even a hair-like evidence found there safe for analysis.

I will instruct my ultra-modern forensic team to lift fingerprints from all surfaces, even food kept in the kitchen and items lying in the dustbin will be secured as evidence.

Suppose the incident is of murder, then photographs of the deceased will be taken from every angle. If any weapon used in the murder is found, it will also be kept safe.

During my investigation, no matter how big a person is there, in what position, how rich or influential he is, he will have to follow my orders and answer my every question.

Based on the crime scene, I will have to make a specific investigation strategy for investigating that crime. Because all crimes are different, the same investigation strategy cannot work for all.

Evidence may be left in the area outside the crime scene which can be damaged by the visitors coming to the crime scene. Therefore, the security of the crime scene will be my top priority and I will prevent the general public from coming there.

I will instruct the photographer at the crime scene to take photographs of the entire area and close-up photographs of objects from different angles.

I will also make a sketch of the crime scene to help me reconstruct the scene.

The sketch will include all the objects present, location of evidence, direction, date, time and case number.

The complete documentation of the crime scene will be done to record the condition of the objects present there, the smell around, the temperature of the area etc.

After doing all these tasks of the crime scene, I will make a list of the relevant witnesses and suspects and conduct preliminary interrogation of them.

No evidence or suspect found in the preliminary inspection of any crime can be ignored.

The mental happiness that I will get after solving any crime and the praise I will get from the higher officials is not possible to describe in words. Solving any case also helps in making the society crime free.
