"One Picture And One Story Week #70"
Assalamu Alaikum.
Hello everyone,
I am @sojib1996
From #Bangladesh
How are you all? I hope everyone is well. Alhamdulillah I am fine too. Today I will be taking part in a beautiful contest of the Steem For Pakistan community. This contest name is "One Picture And One Story Week #70"
Thank you so much Dear Honorable Ma'am @suboohi for organizing such a beautiful event.
Whenever I hear a picture or a story, I feel like writing something from my memory. A few days ago, I went to Sonargaon, which is near our city. Although it is a historical place, I visited it for the first time. It was the capital of Isha Kha or the ancient capital of Bengal. It was an administrative center of East Bengal. Isha Khan's wife's name was Sonabibi, and it was named Sonargaon to match her name.
In addition, Panam Nagar was the residence of the high-class merchants of Sonargaon in the 19th century. According to ancient Greek and Roman accounts, there was a commercial center in this hinterland that used to travel along this river for commercial business.
I went to visit there. The zamindar's house was almost destroyed but the government has beautified the house and painted it. It is among our tourist places so it has been taken care of as our memory. And there is a museum inside which has many things used during the reign of the kings in that museum. I could see the famous muslin cloth of Bengal in that museum.
Everything from the ancient village of Bengal to the livelihood was in the museum. This is our heritage and these things have now disappeared with the modernization of people, so all the used furniture is in the museum.
But the most amazing thing is that the houses from hundreds of years ago are still very beautiful and standing on the ground. When we usually build houses, they collapse due to earthquakes, but those old houses are intact.
Seeing the Sonargaon area and the landlord's houses, I was able to experience a lot of things about the leadership of Isa Kha and his life that I read about in the book. We should always carry this with pride.
I would like to invite my friends @mehwish-almas @nurnobi10 and @meehu to take part in the contest.
