What is the main purpose of fasting in Ramadan?

As a special mercy from the Almighty God to His servants, Allah has revealed a blessed month.And the name of this blessed month is Ramadan.The month of Ramadan is more blessed than other months, and in this great month, people fast out of love for their Lord and seek forgiveness for their sins.They express their devotion to Allah by abstaining from food, drink, etc., and from all forms of sensual gratification.

The main purpose of Ramadan is to turn towards one's Lord and earn His pleasure.To refrain from wrongdoing as much as possible in order to gain the pleasure of Allah Almighty and to earn the greatest reward, as commanded by Allah Almighty.This month, instead of donating one taka, one gets the reward of donating 70 taka.Performing one fard is equal to performing 70 fards, and at the same time, one voluntary act is equal to one fard.This month is mainly for worship.

How does fasting benefit a person spiritually and physically?

If a person fasts, the spiritual change for him is that he will be able to abstain from everything.If a person wants to fast properly, he must keep this in mind when he commits any wrongdoing.If a person wants someone to argue with him, he can give the correct answer because of fasting and say, "I am fasting."

Just as abstaining from wrongdoing has spiritual benefits, Ramadan also has many physical benefits.If we don't take a break for Ramadan for a month, we will have stomach problems and the amount of gas we consume throughout the year can be enormous.But when we abstain from eating and drinking for a month after eating and drinking a lot throughout the year, our stomach becomes healthy and no disease can settle in the stomach.

Tell us about your favorite Sahoor and Iftar Recipes. What are their benefits?

My favorite sehri during Ramadan is rice.Just as rice is my staple food throughout the year, rice at Sehri is able to keep my physical activities active throughout the day.Rice is the most important thing for me at Sehri to eliminate physical weakness and bring about well-being.However, the most beneficial and my favorite pre-dinner drink is water, which I must drink in large quantities to avoid becoming overly thirsty.

Dry food is generally very popular during Iftar.However, the most favorite food for breaking the fast is dates, which can provide some strength to the body. At the same time, dates were the favorite food of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and for breaking the fast.Since it is Sunnah, my favorite food for iftar is dates, in order to follow the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

Tell us about the things which we should do or should not do while fasting.

Since Ramadan is the month of fulfillment and fasting is a very important and noble act.Since fasting is one of the fundamental pillars of Islam, it is very important to respect fasting and adhere to the dos and don'ts of fasting.Of course, our first task is to avoid activities that are indecent during the fast.

Usually, a lot of backbiting etc. comes out of our mouths most of the time. We completely avoid these things during fasting.When going to a place, one should not go to a place where bad things can happen.You should not go to places where talking could lead to trouble.Not to joke with a fasting person. At the same time, if you are unable to fast due to physical illness, do not reveal this to anyone or eat food in front of a fasting person.
