"One Picture And One Story Week #91"
Hello Steemit friends,
How are you all? I hope you are all well by the grace of Allah. I am also fine by the grace of Allah. Today, I will participate in the new contest from Steem For Pakistan brought by the honorable Admin @suboohi ma'am. The name of the Contest is "One Picture And One Story Week #91". Thank you, Steem For Pakistan, for bringing this beautiful contest to us.
In One Picture One Story, the picture I am presenting today is a picture of a flood. Bangladesh is a country of six seasons. Among them, the monsoon season is one of them. The monsoon season is the season of life for many. During this time, water reaches every part of the fields and farms. Every crop regains its life. Every land regains its lost youth. By growing crops in those lands, we can fulfill our food needs.
Poets and writers write immortal poems and literature about the monsoon. Nature lovers go out to enjoy nature in boats. There is an atmosphere of happiness everywhere.
But this monsoon has a terrible form. Those who have not seen that form will not be able to achieve it. That terrible form is called a flood.
I myself have seen the terrible form of this flood several times. I know what indescribable problems the people of the village face when a flood occurs. The quality of life becomes miserable. Many people may remember the floods of 1981 and 1991.
During that flood, large parts of the village were submerged. Not a single dry spot was found anywhere. The food crisis was indescribable. The people had to suffer a lot for a little clean water, let alone food.
I saw their suffering very closely because I was also a victim at that time. I, too, have endured this unbearable suffering.
Each family used to swim from one house to another for a handful of food, sometimes swimming in water up to their necks. Sometimes they got food, sometimes they didn't get food. The air was heavy with the cries of small children in hunger.
But the situation was like such a difficult time that there was no way for anyone to help anyone.
The most difficult thing was the sanitary system. With water all around, the sanitary system was completely broken. Every house in the village had chickens and ducks. I have not discussed them. You can imagine what happened to them.
The horror of floods does not end here. After the water recedes, the surrounding environment remains terribly polluted. As a result, the incidence of various diseases increases. Various epidemics including diarrhea and cholera appear.
Conclusion: -
On the one hand, floods sow the seeds of good fortune for us, as a result of which we get the crops we need. On the other hand, this monsoon has brought our rural life to the brink of indescribable hardship.
All this happens in nature's own way. If nature gives us wild, we cannot stop it, but we can make some preparations. The preparations we take will at least reduce our indescribable hardship to some extent. At the same time, if those who are wealthy among us extend a helping hand, then the people of the village will benefit a lot.
The monsoon will start very soon. If catastrophic floods occur, we should stand by them to the best of our ability. I am leaving here with that call to everyone through today's contest.
I invite three of my friends to join in this contest
