আন্তর্জাতিক মাতৃভাষা দিবস আমাদের সমগ্র বাঙালী জাতির জন্য এক অসামান্য গর্বের একটি দিন। আজ থেকে কয়েক যুগ আগে ১৯৫২ সালের ২১ শে ফেব্রয়ারির এই দিনে আমাদের বাঙালি দামাল ছেলেরা মায়ের মুখের ভাষার জন্য নিজেদের বুকের টগবগে তাজা রক্ত ঢেলে দিয়েছিলেন পাক বাহিনির গুলিতে।সেদিন তারা শহিদ হলেও তাদের নাম ও আমাদের বাংলা ভাষাকে অমর করে রেখে দিয়ে গেছেন এই পৃথিবীতে। এটা সত্যিই একটি গর্বের বিষয় যে, পুরো পৃথিবীতে শুধুমাত্র আমরা বাঙালিরাই নিজেদের ভাষার জন্য রক্তক্ষয়ী সংগ্রাম করেছি। আর এই সংগ্রামের বিশালতা এতটাই বিস্তৃত যে, আজকে পুরো পৃথিবীব্যাপী আমাদের বাংলা ভাষার সম্মানে, আন্তর্জাতিকভাবে এই দিনটিকে স্বীকৃতি দেওয়া হয়েছে এবং পৃথিবীজুড়ে নানা আনন্দ উৎসব, মিছিল ও পুষ্প অর্পনের মাধ্যমে দিনটি পালিত হয়ে থাকে।
আপনাকে অনেক ধন্যবাদ, এই মহান দিনটিকে ঘিড়ে আপনার কার্যক্রমগুলোকে আমাদের তুলে ধরার জন্য।

This day makes us realize the dignity of our mother language and the importance of Bengali language all over the world. Donating blood for our mother language is a proud history of ours and this day gives us an opportunity to pay tribute to our language. By observing International Mother Language Day, we remember the sacrifices of our martyrs and pay our humble respects to them.
