Tomb of Saint Hazrat Baba Nasir Shah and Graveyard

Today I am here to share a sacred place, a tomb with you. This tomb is situated near my village. The name of this tomb is Baba Nasir Shah. The people my area often visit this tomb as a sacred and pious place. This considered as a holy place because of the saint Baba Nasir Shah. So let's start reviewing this sacred place.

Tomb

This is the entrance of the tomb. To enter inside the tomb there are two small gates. In the picture one door is visible and the visitor can enter the tomb from this door or the other one. There are always a few people. The architecture of the tomb is really charming. It is aluminated with different colours and other decorative materials. The tomb is embellished with the green and cream like colours. The entrance and the walls are embellished with the sacred verses using the art of calligraphy. The top of the tomb is made up of metal which shines greatly.

Back side of Tomb

The exterior of the tomb building is same from all sides with the symmetry of the design and calligraphy arts. The building is square shape from bottom to top. When the square shape ends there is a beautiful dome of the tomb. The dome is of green colour with a circular shape closing to the upward side. The dome has a beautiful metal piece of art at the top.

Interior of Tomb

This is the interior of the tomb. I am standing in the tomb. The interior is fully decorated. The walls are made of marble bricks of white colour. On the front wall of the tomb there is a beautiful calligraphy in the Arabic language.

Grave of Baba Nasir Shah

This is the grave of Hazrat Baba Nasir Shah. People come on this tomb to give their regards especially to this grave of Hazrat Baba Nasir Shah. People spread flowers on the tomb specifically rose flowers. The beautiful fragrance of the rose make the environment really peaceful. Whenever I visit this tomb I feel really very peaceful because of the beauty and peace of this place. The grave is rounded by the wooden fence. The wooden fence is full of the garlands.

Interior Walls of Tomb

The interior walls are symmetric in architecture and design. As mentioned earlier there is the use of marble tiles on all sides of the walls. But after a specific height of the walls there is the sudden change in the design. There is dome like structure with some space and then repetition of the same design pattern. I like the architecture design of this interior. There are artificial flowers and garlands on the sides of walls.

Interior Ceiling of Tomb

The ceiling of the tomb ends with a beautiful dome which can also be seen from the exterior. There is a fan connected with a long rod to the ceiling which is operational and it is used in the summer season. The floor of the tomb remains cool and comfortable. The ceiling is also decorated with decorative strings.

Mosque

There is also a mosque at the back side of the tomb. This is small but fascinating mosque. It is open for everyone. This is mostly used by the travelers passing by this way and the visitors who visit this. So without loosing the prayers in time the visitors can offer their prayers in this beautifully designed mosque. There are Holy Qurans as well for the recitation.

Graveyard 🪦

There is a wide and spacious graveyard in the boundary of the tomb. It is a public graveyard and open for anyone. When anyone dies then it can be used for burying purpose by digging a new grave in the empty place and the dead body is buried in the grave. There are several graves in the graveyard of Hazrat Baba Nasir Shah. Some graves are made up of ripe bricks and some are made up of simple clay bricks.

Hand Pump Place

This is the place where there was a hand pump for the water. It was at good location and very useful for the visitors to get water. But unfortunately due to done technical issue in the hand pump it is not there. The management turned it off.

Trees and Plants

At one side there are shady trees and some flowering plants. These trees and plants make this place cool and provides oxygen for the ease of the inhalation and exhalation process. The central part of this place is empty and it is used for the parking of the bikes and cars. In the summer season this parking works very well as it protects the bikes from scorching sun.

Water Pump

To fulfill the needs of water there is an electronic water pump. Yes in this small room there is a water pump. It is the protection of the water pump from the rain, wind and from the animals. It has a door to fix it if is there any problem in the water pump. This is connected with the water tank.

Water Taps

Alongside the water pump there is a dedicated section for the water taps to allow the visitors to use water. There are 3 water taps in a row and all are operational. They work like the simple taps and they are highly tech water taps but simple and manual water taps commonly used. So if you need water while visiting the Tomb of Hazrat Baba Nasir Shah then you can use these water taps.
