Sunday is always my favorite day of the week. It's the only day I get to rest from work and spend time in the Lord's sanctuary, praising and worshiping God.

This past Sunday was exceptional, though. After returning from church, I had the chance to pamper myself by giving my hair a new look.

I woke up early as usual, around 5:30 am, and started my day with morning prayers. Afterwards, I played a song on my phone - the same song my choir was scheduled to perform at church. While the song played, I tidied up my room, did some laundry, and took a bath.

By the time I finished, it was around 7:30 am. I then got dressed in my choir uniform. Just as I was finishing up, a fellow choir member called to ask if I'd be joining the church bus, which was approaching my bus stop. I told her I'd try to make it outside in time, but unfortunately, I missed the bus. I couldn't help but blame myself for not thinking about the bus earlier, which would have saved me time and allowed me to catch it. Instead, I had to pay my own way to church.

When I arrived, the worship session was already underway, and I took my place at the choir stand, joining in the worship.

The church service was amazing, with the leader efficiently and uniquely guiding us through the proceedings. He then handed the microphone over to our senior pastor, who delivered a powerful sermon with many important points to emphasize.

After the sermon, our senior pastor provided us with prayer points and then led us in prayer. Once the service concluded, I headed home promptly, eager to get ready for my hair appointment.

Once I got home, I warmed up the leftover food from the freezer and had a meal. Afterwards, I invited my neighbor's daughter over to help me with my hair.

Loosening my old hair style

While my neighbor's daughter was helping me with my hair, the little boy from my compound came over with a banana his mother had given him and offered to share it with me.

After finishing the hair loosening process, I washed my hair thoroughly with shampoo and conditioner, then dried it well with a towel. Next, I applied hair cream and leave-in conditioner before heading out to the salon.

Once I arrived at the salon, my stylist got started on braiding my hair. Before we began, I browsed through TikTok to find the exact style I wanted her to recreate for me.

She continued braiding my hair, but then excused herself to use the restroom. When she returned, there was a lady waiting to get her hair washed, so I gave them a few minutes to attend to her. Afterwards, my stylist returned to finish my hair. We worked on it until nightfall, and by the time we were done, I was already feeling sleepy.

As soon as I got home, I headed straight to the bathroom and took a refreshing cold shower. Then, I went to bed, feeling extremely tired and exhausted from sitting for too long. I also had a slight headache.
