The First Use of my First Steemit Earning
Good day steemians!
I participated the platform for almost 8 years already. It is indeed already a long journey for me here. I had lots of ups and downs here in the platform and many good and sad memories.
I learn the platform through a friend who introduced this to us. He told us that we will just post a photo then put a little story in it. As he was sharing it to us, I became interested and made my account last July 2017. I also invited some of my friends and colleagues.
As time passed, the platform hd became part of my routine. And as I scroll and read big whales post, I realized that it is not an ordinary platform. You can get a lot of learnings from it. Learnings as you face the real life plus you can invest and earn here. But take note, dont make it as an earning platform just make it a hubby in writing and try to invest the steem you earn from writing.
Today, I am having my yearly medical check up. As I wait for my turn, I tried to scroll on the platform trying to figure out what I had to write for my content today.
As I scroll down, I saw @muhammad-ahmad organized contest, and I feel like writing my entry.
8 years ago, steemit really has a great value in terms of earning. They gave sbd every upvoted entry. Clubbings was not yet a requirement before. So, the steemians especially us who were new that time will withdraw every month our earnings. 1 sbd that time reached from 200php - 500php (20steem - 50steem). And we received many big votes. So we usually withdraw 5000 to 20000 a month (500steem to 2000 steem) depending on how active we are in writing. Plus we were able to build a group that time and we made a charity event wherein we will be going to a place and will be giving a pack of groceries and 5 kilo rice. And there is a team that will sponsor the expenses.
From the first earning I had withdraw in steemit, aside from sharing it to our charity, I bought 1 sack of rice for my parents. I also was able to buy our grocery needs. And the bonus part was, I was able to eat in a luxurious restaurant with my family. I was single that time and my boyfriend was working abroad. So, I really had a luxury of time writing and attending some meetings with the my steemit friends.
That moment was indeed so good. And right now, I can now count my filipino steemit friends who were present here because of so many reasons.
And now, I am an active steemian and still trying to convince my friends to come back.

Your 8-year story is truly inspiring and filled with memories of growth, learning, and community honestly I love how you have used your earnings to support your family and give back to your community and also your dedication to the platform is admirable, and I'm sure your friends appreciate your efforts to convince them to return.
