A little sadness behind the smile

Today I want to share a little bit about my life. It's actually a secret, but I hope this story will inspire many of my friends. The photo I shared above shows our stall on the side of the National Road, also known as a street vendor stall.

What keeps me from feeling discouraged about selling under the hot sun is that our family's current situation is very sad. My father and brother are both sick and hospitalized. My mother also has to stay at the hospital every night to take care of my father, who is bedridden.

For the past few days, I've been waking up alone at home every morning, and sometimes I don't even have time for breakfast because I have to open our stall early. I don't really like breakfast because eating too much makes me feel lazy.

The first thing I did upon arriving at our stall was to arrange all the oranges we had for sale. Then I immediately started selling. My workload was very busy, and Mom took a short break from the hospital to cover for me. Then I went straight home for lunch, as I hadn't eaten since morning.

Knowing I didn't have much time at home, after freshening up and performing the Dhuhr prayer, I immediately opened my phone to edit and upload videos to my favorite TikTok account to promote the fruits we were selling, as relying solely on offline marketing wasn't very effective these days.

I also took the time to write and upload posts on Steemit to stay productive and consistent with my writing. After all my work was done during the day, I returned to our stall in the evening to close up shop with Mom.

After enjoying dinner at home, Mom and I headed straight back to the hospital to accompany Dad. A little message for my fellow Steemians: For those of you who still have parents and they are in good health, keep working hard and never burden them with your laziness. Our parents' happiness is the most beautiful gift in this world.
