Today I’m going to share the story of my birthday with you all but this birthday was quite different from the others. It all began around midnight when my friends and loved ones started sending me birthday wishes.

I was online at the time, so I replied to everyone on WhatsApp, thanked them, and received a few calls too. Some of my friends even posted lovely wishes and prayers for me in their status updates, which made me very happy.

As I was getting ready to sleep, I suddenly heard noise in the sky. There were planes and helicopters flying overhead, and a strange fear crept into my heart. Given the tense situation between our country and India at the time, I feared that maybe an attack had occurred. With those anxious thoughts, I eventually fell asleep.

Around Fajr time, my alarm rang. I got up, did wudu (ablution), and offered my prayer. Just as I sat down to relax, my younger sister came in and told me that India had actually attacked Pakistan. I was shocked and worried.

I turned on the news and found out that multiple bombs had been dropped in different areas, even on a mosque. India was claiming they targeted terrorists, but we were all angry.

Then came the good news our brave Pakistani army had given a strong response. Several of India’s check posts were destroyed, and soon after, reports came in that Indian soldiers raised a white flag and surrendered. We felt a great sense of pride. Our army showed immense courage and strength. The Prime Minister addressed the nation and urged everyone to remain calm.

Later, my family members also wished me a happy birthday. Since I had only slept four hours, I went back to sleep. In the evening, when I woke up, my younger sisters had prepared a small birthday surprise. They had already arranged some decorations. They decorated one corner of the room with foil sheets, a "Happy Birthday" banner, and pink and white balloons.

Meanwhile, my brother had brought an Oreo cake from the market. We placed the cake, took some pictures (my sisters clicked photos of me with the cake), and then cut the cake. It was really delicious soft and tasty, from Saqafat Bakery.

After that, we watched more news. All day, the media kept talking about how India had launched a cowardly attack, and how bravely Pakistan responded.

Later, we ordered pizza chicken fajita flavor ,, and enjoyed it with cold drinks. I served the pizza in slices to everyone like a proper host. It was very tasty.

I had planned to celebrate my birthday at college and university with my friends, but due to the situation, everything was canceled. My friends had even arranged a beautiful customized cake for me, but it went unused. I told them not to worry InshaAllah, we’ll celebrate once things get better.

Later, I talked to some of my close friends, and we all prayed for peace and safety in Pakistan, hoping no civilians would be harmed. At night, we had dinner, watched the news, prayed Isha, and finally made heartfelt duas for our country that Allah protects Pakistan, defeats our enemies, and blesses us with peace.
