in Steem For Pakistan17 days ago

Greetings to all Steemit brothers and sisters, May we all always be in good health and fine. On this occasion I would like to take part in a challenge organized by our brother @abdullahw2 with the theme “Fasting In Ramadan”. I will answer some of the questions given below with my understanding.

What is the main purpose of fasting in Ramadan?

Talking about Ramadan fasting is talking about Islam where fasting in the holy month of Ramadan is one of the third pillars of Islam that must be carried out by all Muslims in the world because it is an obligation for us as a Muslim to perform worship in the holy month of Ramadan.

The purpose of fasting Ramadan is one of them is to increase our faith and piety to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala who has created us with the universe, refraining from food and drink and negative things that cause fasting to be canceled is a challenge for Muslims who make themselves better which is called an act of worship because the rewards given are quite high. One of them is also restraining lust because with emptiness without being filled from various foods and drinks will weaken our lust so as to avoid negative things, and not only that the goal is also to maintain a healthy body and excessive food consumption.

How does fasting benefit a person spiritually and physically?

Well, fasting is indeed very beneficial for us spiritually or physically. Fasting is refraining from various foods or drinks so that our bodies do not consume excessive food except at certain times and it is recommended not to overeat for example when breaking the fast. Fasting will make our bodies healthier because all the cells in our bodies will be renewed and upgraded again when emptiness without being filled by food or drink with it our bodies will become better and healthier to avoid various diseases. So therefore I can hold that fasting is very beneficial for the health of our body both physically and spiritually. We need to know that hunger is something that is very good for humans but excessive hunger actually harms ourselves. And consuming enough food will be better than consuming excessive food which will bring disease to our own bodies. Therefore fasting is so beneficial that it is recommended in Islam not only in the holy month of Ramadan which is already an obligation but also Sunnah fasts such as Monday Thursday.

Tell us about your favorite Sahoor and Iftar Recipes. What are their benefits?

Speaking of sahur recipes or iftar menus, of course I will explain it according to reality in my environment and menus for breaking the fast or eating sahur. To open the fast is very simple usually I just buy some menus and drinks that presumably make my body more refreshed and filled with favors such as fruit ice drinks, mixed ice drinks, lively drinks and others and so on. As for food, I usually enjoy my mother's cooking at home such as vegetables, beef if there is any left over from the day of megang, rice, and cakes that I give in the market such as bingkang, lapis cake, bakwan, risol and so on.

As for suhoor food with alakadar left over from the menus of iftar dishes such as payeh fish, salted eggs, rice, iced fruit drinks and so on.

For the benefits may not be too much more useful is like vegetables in order to make our bodies more fresh and energized while living life in the middle of the day with an empty stomach. Other useful menus such as fruit ice because of the mixture of fruits that are used as drinks, these drinks have vitamin C which can make our bodies tough and survive the weakness faster. Actually, I am not too concerned about the benefits but rather focus on foods that can make my body healthier such as the foods I have mentioned earlier and of course must have their own benefits for the health of the body and as long as it does not harm the body I will enjoy it.

Tell us about the things which we should do or should not do while fasting.

There are so many things that must be maintained and should not be done when we perform fasting services in the holy month of Ramadan or other sunnah fasts during ordinary days. We need to know that the most important thing is to prohibit ourselves from consuming food and drink, smoking, because it will cause our fast to be automatically canceled.

Then about the holes that are throughout the body, we are advised not to insert food and drink, be it ear holes or nostrils or mouths where food is inserted, of course it is prohibited, if between these holes something is inserted intentionally, it will automatically break our fast, including the pubic hole that is discussed there.

But there are also things that are prohibited because they can cancel the reward of our fast but not the fast, of course with negative things and bad things that are not good.

As for some of the things that must be as a condition is to make the intention of fasting at night so that the fast is valid, then refrain from the time after imsak until the new maghrib time is allowed to break the fast, if you break the fast at a time that is not set such as before the maghrib call to prayer then it is automatically canceled.

Maybe that's my writing in this challenge, thanks to @abdullahw2 for organizing this contest. Here I also want to invite several other colleagues such as @ulfatulrahmah, bang @walictd and Mr. @muzack1 to participate here.
