I am happy to join Weekly Drawing Contest || Week-39 || Draw Loquat Fruit that has been initiated by @enamul17. This contest offers a great chance of me fully expressing my artistic creativity on print medium while promoting the appeal of the loquat fruit. I would like to express my desire to participate in these drawing and also participate in this fun project.

Materials I Used

🔹White paper

🔹Pencil

🔹Eraser

🔹Colors (for coloring)

🔹Black pen (for detailing)

Loquat fruit drawing step by step

Draw the Basic Shape:

First of all, I did circle with leading pen that becomes rough base of loquat fruit body.

Add a Half-Cut Fruit:

After that, I sketched an oval beside the first one and connected it to the first at the middle, illustrating a half-cut loquat fruit.

Detail the Inside of the Cut Fruit:

In the half cut portion I filled with seeds as if there were a real fruit.

Add the Stem and Leaf:

Lastly to make the fruit more realistic I added a stem over the loquat fruit and a leaf touching the stem. With this, the general sketch of drawing was prepared.

Color the Fruit:

The fruit body I painted in light orange though in this image due to the high resolution of my camera, it appears a bit darker. The seeds were painted dark brown as to make them look more realistic. The stem was also painted brown and I painted the color green for the leaf. Last but not the least I used black pen to trace and enhanced the sketch with minor crosses to make it look more realistic.

The finished result for my picture was the loquat fruit as shown below While drawing my loquat fruit. The body colors and the intricate design of the fruit was a success and I really had fun making the fruit.

No, I have no clue about this fruit. I don’t have any information whether it is available at the local store or supermarket in Bangladesh or not but I have not noticed it before. Since i have never come across this fruit, i have never been privileged to know the taste, feel or cost of this fruit.

Since it is not available in my country I can also not give price information in local currency or comparisons with the prices of Steem. But at least in this drawing contest I found out that there is such a thing as a loquat fruit and it was rather interesting to fill my knowledge base with such unusual fruits from around the world.
