Sharing my general knowledge
Today I am glad to take part in the contest Sharing My General Knowledge Week 35 held by @sahar78. This brings the aspect of positively participating in dissemination of information on various topics and also gains from the information elicited by other participants. It is always a pleasure to be able to contribute and thus be a part of this contest.
This vegetable Bitter gourd is rich in vitamin A and C and vitamins in the B group. Some of the functions include: Vitamin A is used in the bodies for vision, skin and lining of the mouth and respiratory tract. Vitamin C enhances immune function and the synthesis of collagen tissue and reduces oxidative pressure. The B-complex vitamins help in metabolism of energy, brain and red blood cell synthesis; thus bitter gourd can be part of the normal diet.
Ladyfingers, which are also called okra, contains vitamins A, C, and K and some B-group vitamins, particularly B1, B2, and B6. Vitamin A is very good for the eyes and it is also an immune booster. Vitamin C improves our health and helps us get a natural glow on our skin. Vitamin K is now established as the people’s assistant in bone formulation and efficient blood coagulation. The B complex vitamins provide energy and ensure that all parts of the body are working properly. It convinces a lot to take ladyfingers when preparing our foods and making it a part of our diet.
Pistachios are excellent sources of vitamin B6, vitamin E, and vitamin K Vitamin B6 is involved in metabolism, maturation of the brain, immune systems and formation of red blood cells. Vitamin E is used to prevent cell damage and maintain beauty of skin. The Vitamin K is know for its function of forming blood clots and for bone health. These vitamins make pistachios a healthy and nutrient packed snack.
